L’identification à l’examen clinique de petites dilatations anévrismales et d’ectasies paracentrales fait évoquer le diagnostic de télangiectasies maculaires. Celles-ci sont le plus souvent secondaires à une pathologie, notamment au diabète, aux occlusions veineuses, aux vascularites, à un néovaisseau choroïdien de type 3, etc. Le contexte et le reste de l’examen identifieront généralement l’affection primitive. Les télangiectasies maculaires de type 1 (MacTel 1) sont idiopathiques sans cause retrouvée. Ce sont des affections rares, en grande majorité unilatérales, touchant préférentiellement l’homme d’âge moyen (1).
A novel improved matlab-based software for the electric and magnetic analysis and design of rotating electrical machines

The aim of this paper is to present a software for the analysis and design of windings of rotating electrical machines, considering both the electric and the magnetic specifications on the machine. The considered machines are induction motors (IM) and PM synchronous motors (PMSM). The software accounts for the case of buried magnets (IPMSM), but with some limits, because the calculations require a much more detailed analysis regarding the magnetic circuit. However, this initial limitation of the software, that will be removed in a later version, does not constitute a major limitation as confirmed by the examples presented in this paper.
Analysis of the effects of magnetic field on the induced stress in drilled plates

Abstract A drilled plate of ferromagnetic material suitably coupled by coils of enameled copper wire fed by a DC power supply to 30 V is considered in this paper. It is analyzed with finite element and later experiments are performed to validate the obtained results. After polishing the plate, two strain gauges for measuring the deformation along the x axis and along the z axis are installed. The values of strain are 5 μm/m in z direction and −2 μm/m in x direction. The experimental–numerical comparison shows that the laboratory results are lower than numerical, while signs and orders of magnitude are the same. A well-known practice uses mechanical variators to realize the so-called continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) for automotive application. A remarkable problem for one of the most used CVTs is given by the hydraulic control of the axial thrust on the half-pulleys that is necessary for torque transmission. It involves a heavy decrease in transmission efficiency. In the present paper, the possible production of the required axial thrust by a simple spring to eliminate hydraulic losses is analysed.
