Environment and Climate in Sicily over the last 20, 000 years. (IT ISSN 0394-3356, 2010). A series of recent studies shed light on the central Mediterranean, and Sicily, climate and environment, starting from the last glacial maximum (about 20 ka cal BP). In the present paper, we examine most of these works, in order to unravel environmental changes of the past, mainly in terms of temperature, atmospheric pattern, precipitation, vegetation and faunal associations. Objectifs: Décrire l’aspect des masses rénales (< 3cm) en imagerie de diffusion et déterminer le rôle de l’ADC pour la différentiation entre lésion maligne et bénigne. Matériels et méthodes: 47 tumeurs rénales < 3cm (23 malignes, 24 bénignes) furent explorées en IRM 3T incluant en sus du protocole habituel une séquence de diffusion (b1000). Une analyse rétrospective qualitative et quantitative (ADC) fut réalisée avec corrélation anatomopathologique et tests statistiques pour déterminer l’efficacité de la valeur d’ADC pour caractériser la lésion. Another aim was to investigate how physical activity (PA), body composition, and age are associated with subjective stress, objective stress, and recovery. The aim was to describe longitudinal trends in peak oxygen uptake (VO2peak) among 14- to 19-year-old adolescents in Norway, and to examine effects of sex, body mass index (BMI), and physical activity (PA) level on VO2peak during adolescence. Of 124 invited students from two lower secondary schools in Norway, 116 eighth-grade students (61 boys and 55 girls; 14 years old at baseline) volunteered to participate.
