Our aim is to establish a reflexive analysis about the way in which the New Education’s movement understands morality and the way it is meant to be taught, as well as its particular entail with civic education. We offer a synthesis of the investigation, which has its base on some not vey spread primary sources of authors and institutional organs of the movement. With it we clarify the meaning and the ways through which pedagogical currents shaped, in the beginning of the 20th century, a new way of conceiving the practice of these formative areas. This article analyses the moral duties on the operation of the Sports Departments at Universities. Deontology, from the Greek Deon (duty) and logy (treated), refers to the sphere of duty. This ethical perspective, which is a key precursor from the German philosopher Immanuel Kant, raises the need to assume the duties that must be followed in interaction with others. And then it studies the parallel Catalan movement focusing on the problem of identity assertion in the narrative. In many of our narrators of this realism of complaint (Concepció G. Maluquer, Estanislau Torres, Víctor Mora and Joaquim Carbó) national commitment accompanyies social and political commitment. It is a peculiar trait that distinguishes our movement and gives the physiognomy of its own.
