Forster's distinction between round and flat characters in order to study the balancing between genre characters and realistic characters Tarantino's first film effects. We analyze three environmentally conscious works that are concerned with the state of Finnish forests: the documentary film Metsän tarina/Tale of a Forest (2012), the book with the same name (2013) and the series of short documentaries Tarinoita metsästä/Tales from the Forest (2013). By combining methods from arts research and ecology, we ask how the narratives adapt material from nature photography. The film and book present mythic stories and old Finnish beliefs about forests. In linguistic landscape (LL) studies, various projects have demonstrated how language learners benefit from tasks that involve the documentation and interpretation of the LL. In this chapter, we investigate how Finnish as a second language learner exchange students turned the local LL into affordances during their time abroad in Finland. This article reads Graham Rawle's collage novel Woman's World (2005) by utilizing the literal and metaphoric meanings of the facsimile as critical tools. Woman's World is an assemblage of circa 40,000 fragments cut and pasted from over a 1000 copies of British women's magazines of the early 1960s. These snippets are reproduced in facsimile and thus feature a jerky variety of font types, cases, and sizes. Woman's World does not only present a facsimile of its found graphic materials but it also studies, in my reading, the "facsimile" (similarizing, imitating, copying) qualities of gender identification, adopted discourses, (cross-)dressing, and the novel's own construction. Milan Leščák (1940–2022) – distinguished Slovak ethnologist and folklorist; he lectured at Comenius University in Bratislava and established the Department of Folklore and Regional Studies at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. Between 1963–1998 he worked at the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology at the Slovak Academy of Sciencies, and between 1998–2006 he performed the function of the Chair of the Department of Ethnology of the Faculty of Arts at Comenius University in Bratislava. He was also the Chief Editor of the journal Slovenský Národopis, and the co-founder of the film festival Ethnofilm Czadca.

El nostre objectiu en aquest article és fer una síntesi dels principals estudis d’Alfred Morel-Fatio sobre llengua i literatura catalanes, així com definir el seu paper en la catalanística del segle XIX, especialment a França però també a la resta d’Europa. Cal saber que aquest erudit francès va tenir un paper cabdal en el desplegament dels estudis universitaris catalans fora del nostre àmbit lingüístic, a banda de fer aportacions significatives al desplegament de la filologia catalana. Així, arribem a la conclusió que Morel-Fatio té el mèrit de ser el primer professor que va introduir l’estudi de la llengua i la literatura catalanes a les aules universitàries.
