Multiple solutions for semilinear Robin problems with superlinear reaction and no symmetries
2021
We study a semilinear Robin problem driven by the Laplacian with a parametric superlinear reaction. Using variational tools from the critical point theory with truncation and comparison techniques, critical groups and flow invariance arguments, we show the existence of seven nontrivial smooth solutions, all with sign information and ordered.
Attēla fona nošķiršanas paņēmieni objektu izcelšanai
2016
Approximation of pre-twisted Achilles sub-tendons with continuum beam elements
2022
Achilles sub-tendons are materially and geometrically challenging structures that can nearly undergo around 15% elongation from their pre-twisted initial states during physical activities. Sub-tendons' cross-sectional shapes are subject-specific, varying from simple to complicated. Therefore, the Achilles sub-tendons are often described by three-dimensional elements that lead to a remarkable number of degrees of freedom. On the other hand, the continuum-based beam elements in the framework of the absolute nodal coordinate formulation have already been shown to be a reliable and efficient replacement for the three-dimensional continuum elements in some special problems. So far, that element …

THE EFFECTS OF GROWTH REGULATORS ON IN VITRO AXILLARY SHOOT PROLIFERATION AND ROOTING OF ERICA MULTIFLORA
2012
Multiple shoots were induced on nodal segments of a mature plant of Erica multiflora L. Axillary shoots produced on uncontaminated explants were excised, segmented, and recultured on the same medium. The effect of Anderson medium, augmented with different concentrations of 2iP either singly or in combination with NAA, as potential medium for shoot multiplication by nodal segments was investigated. In the following experiment equal molar concentrations of four cytokinins (2iP, kinetin, zeatin, and BA) were studied for ability to induce axillary shoot development from single node stem segments. The highest rate of axillary shoot proliferation was induced on Anderson medium supplemented with 1…
Constant sign and nodal solutions for parametric anisotropic $(p, 2)$-equations
2021
We consider an anisotropic ▫$(p, 2)$▫-equation, with a parametric and superlinear reaction term.Weshow that for all small values of the parameter the problem has at least five nontrivial smooth solutions, four with constant sign and the fifth nodal (sign-changing). The proofs use tools from critical point theory, truncation and comparison techniques, and critical groups. Spletna objava: 9. 9. 2021. Abstract. Bibliografija: str. 1076.
