Tumors are characterized by leaky blood vessels, and by an abnormal and heterogeneous vascular network. These pathophysiological characteristics contribute to the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect, which is one of the key rationales for developing tumor-targeted drug delivery systems. Vessel abnormality and heterogeneity, however, which typically result from excessive pro-angiogenic signaling, can also hinder efficient drug delivery to and into tumors. Resum: Aquest article analitza els verbs semblar(-se), ressemblar i assemblar(-se) en els diccionaris institucionals de l’IEC i de l’AVL. La informació que podem obtenir d’aquests diccionaris posa de manifest que hi ha diferències en la descripció semàntica dels verbs. Cada obra descriu i jerarquitza les remissions en atenció als usuaris més pròxims i en algun cas n’hi ha que exclou solucions històriques. Modified post-bifurcation dynamics and routes to chaos from double-Hopf bifurcations in a hyperchaotic system

In order to understand the onset of hyperchaotic behavior recently observed in many systems, we study bifurcations in the modified Chen system leading from simple dynamics into chaotic regimes. In particular, we demonstrate that the existence of only one fixed point of the system in all regions of parameter space implies that this simple point attractor may only be destabilized via a Hopf or double Hopf bifurcation as system parameters are varied. Saddle-node, transcritical and pitchfork bifurcations are precluded. The normal form immediately following double Hopf bifurcations is constructed analytically by the method of multiple scales. Terms of abuse as expression and reinforcement of cultures

In this study terms of abuse are investigated in 11 different cultures, Spontaneous verbal aggression is to a certain extent reminiscent of the values of a certain culture. Almost 3000 subjects from Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Croatia, Poland, Great Britain, USA, Norway, Greece, and The Netherlands were asked to write down terms of abuse that they would use given a certain stimulus situation, and in addition, to give their rating of the offensive character of those terms. A total set of 12,000 expressions was collected. The frequencies of the expressions were established, and the total list of expressions was reduced to 16 categories. The essay represents a reflection on the problem of assigning the pet in the case of separation or divorce. The author, after an analysis which took into consideration the multilevel legislation on the subject, which appears still incomplete, as well as the jurisprudence and the doctrine, elaborate a hermeneutical approach with the aim to allow the “custody” of the pet on the grounds of the protection of its well-being, with a prospect of a new category, called “responsabilità padronale”.
