La rivista che qui si recensisce, diretta da Maria Giovanna Arcamone, Donatella Bremer e Davide De Camilli, costituisce un unicum nel panorama italiano. Si tratta di una rivista di onomastica letteraria che, con puntualità, consente di leggere non soltanto le relazioni presentate durante ogni convegno annuale di Onomastica e Letteratura (O&L), ma anche ulteriori e selezionati interventi di specialisti nazionali e internazionali del settore. Questo numero contiene, tra i 21 complessivi, i contributi discussi a Pisa tra il 12 e il 14 novembre 2015. Il volume è curato da Donatella Bremer, segretaria dell’Associazione Onomastica & Letteratura (O&L), e da Simona Leonardi.

This article aims to reflect on the ghosts of the city of Palermo through the experience conducted during Manifesta 12: the first Great Walking Ritual against Colonialism conceived by Wu Ming 2 and the collective Fare Ala. It is a matter of reconstructing walkscapes to bring out the urban silences that surround us: a path of apprehension capable of creating, metaphorically, a feeling of fear but, at the same time, of knowledge (Careri, 2006). In the recent years, a turn towards interdisciplinary research in which proper names are presentedas an interpretation of reality and a mirror of historical, political, social and cultural processes has been observed in onomastics. Names can reflect a popular vision of the world presenting its anthropocentric conceptualization reconstructed on the basis of knowledge, beliefs, valuation systems and cultural experiences of people. The paper deals with geographical names in Silesia deriving from the names of tree species. An analysis of the names derived from appellatives, allows for a reconstruction of the categorization methods of the world, anthropological conceptualization, and a popular image of reality. Name creators choose names derived from the appellatives which are for certain reasons important and valuable for them, from the existing collection of names. La tesi analizza tutte le citazioni di Eschilo, Sofocle ed Euripide tramandate dall'Onomasticon di Giulio Polluce, relativamente ai libri I, II, III e VI. The paper deals with the state of research on literary/stylistic onomastics as an auxiliary science of stylistics. The typology of styles allows the inclusion of research on stylistic nomenclature within the research on text style, an author’s individual style, as well as type styles. Post-modem changes in the understanding of literariness, the interest of literary onomastics in para-literary genres, and the functioning of names in the modem media, religious and political discourse make it necessary to think about the appropriateness of further use of the term literary onomastics. Mapping Digital Discourses of the Capital Region of Finland : Combining Onomastics, CADS, and GIS

This article discusses the three Finnish city names Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa, and the urban discourses that surround them. The study reveals patterns of socio-spatial differentiation by examining what meanings people attach to these capital region cities and investigating how these meanings are expressed in online discourses. Using the methodological approach of corpus-assisted onomastics (CAO), this study incorporates onomastics, geographical information systems (GIS), and corpus linguistics.
