La ricostruzione dell'abside in alcuni esempi della seconda metà del XVI secolo a Palermo

Il contributo ha l’obiettivo di studiare alcuni casi di ricostruzione dell’abside eseguiti in edifici chiesastici palermitani nella seconda metà del XVI secolo. Si tratta delle chiese di San Sebastiano, San Francesco d’Assisi e San Martino delle Scale (all’interno dell’omonima abbazia), in cui, nella seconda metà del Cinquecento, per motivi liturgici, l’abside originaria viene “trasformata”, in un’abside “piatta”, al fine di potervi inserire il Coro ligneo. Settore ICAR/18 - Storia Dell'ArchitetturaThe paper aims to study some cases of reconstruction of the apse in some churches of Palermo in the second half of the 16th century. These are the churches of St. Sebastiano St. Francesco d’Assisi and St. Martino delle Scale (in the homonymous monastery) in wichfor liturgical reasons the original apse was "transformed" in a "flat" apse to insert in it the wooden choir. The new positioning of the choir after the Tridentine Reform was a central issue in the Europe of the modern age so even in Palermo there were some debates and controversies about this problem. The change of the shape of the apse determined in fact some considerable constructive problems related to its coverage.

Settore L-FIL-LET/12 - Linguistica ItalianaAmong the «Editorial problems» that emerged during the control and organization of the materials coming from the survey campaign of the Atlante Linguistico del Mediterraneo (ALM) Berruto (1971-1973) notes the proliferation and heterogeneity of some graphemic choices made by different field researchers. As they were engaged in a more or less punctual transcription of the answers obtained they had interpreted and solved differently some of the directions provided in the phonetic transcription system that accompanied the Questionnaire. The picture relating to the transcription of some consonants of the palatal sector had emerged as particularly complex since the graphemes (and the corresponding phones) foreseen in the original system (ALM 1959) were insufficient. Not even the 1971 updates meant to improve the representation of some phonetic features emerged from the investigations in the operations of Response reviewing allowed to obtain a clear homogeneous picture regarding the «plosive palatal» consonants. With regard to the phonetic trait under scrutiny I have already had the opportunity to propose a path aiming to the achievement of possible operational solutions. This has taken place in view of the planned simplification / homologation and transcoding phase from the ALM original system to the IPA one - while proceeding from the examination of the Schedoni’s current state with regard to the surveys referring to central-southern Italy Corsica and Sicily (see Matranga 2019). The scope is now to investigate the same phonetic trait as proven in the materials about the surveys carried out by Lirak Dodbiba in the ALM’s three Albanian points.

The essay analyzes the section of Aristotle's "Rhetoric" devoted to the passions (II 1-11). The main feature of originality that the Aristotelian perspective is able to introduce in the contemporary debate on emotions consists in the rhetorical nature of the inquiry that is able to bring out more and better than in other perspectives the link between body language and sociality in the human being.

The essay focuses on the speech “Perì Sophiston” (Concerning Sophists) attributed to Alcidamas a rhetorician who was pupil of Gorgias and thought in Athens between 410 and 365 BC. In this speech Alcidamas stresses the superiority of extempore (though prepared) speeches over written one. The speech is particularly interesting because it represents the specifically rhetorical point of view on the issue of the differences between written and spoken word. Starting from sociologist Anne-Marie Green?s idea of ?common space?, and from Hans Robert Hauss? reception theory, the improvisation workshop is thought to be a way of transforming the practices of reception, in order to modify the nature of the culture of listening of each listener. Four research axis are, then, proposed, from the validation of the personal experience of the participants to the reception of the instant?s surprise as a factor of education, including the research of communicational tools specific to reception of music, capable of captivating the listeners with the original aspects of the unknown musical territories.
