We investigated the impact of these factors for the community assembly of the root-symbiont arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) by sampling roots from geothermal and nonthermal grasslands in Yellowstone National Park (YNP), followed by sequencing and RFLP of AMF ribosomal DNA. Age-related neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinson’s disease take an enormous toll on individuals and on society. Despite extensive efforts, Parkinson’s disease remains incurable and only very limited treatments exist. Indeed, Parkinson’s pathogenesis is still not clear and research on its molecular mechanisms is ongoing. In this study, we focused our interest on two abnormal events occurring in Parkinson’s patients, namely α-synuclein aggregation and microglial activation. Soumise à une importante poussée démographique, l’île de La Réunion a vu sa population urbaine fortement augmenter – passant de 44 % de la population totale en 1975 à 95 % en 2015. Directement corrélée aux formes et dynamiques spatiales de l’urbanisation, l’empreinte lumineuse sur l’île a connu une mutation radicale ces dernières années : son emprise et sa pression ont considérablement augmenté sur l’ensemble du territoire, depuis la côte jusqu’à l’intérieur même du Parc national de La Réunion qui recouvre plus de 76 % du territoire insulaire (42 % pour la zone cœur). Priežu sveķotājkoksngrauža Nothorhina muricata (Dalman, 1817) aktuālo sastopamību ietekmējošie faktori

Priežu sveķotājkoksngrauzis (Nothorhina muricata) ir reti sastopama un maz pētīta suga gan Latvijā, gan Eiropā, kas tiek izmantota kā dabisko mežu indikatorsuga. Latvijā šī suga iekļauta īpaši aizsargājamo sugu sarakstā. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot priežu sveķotājkoksngrauža aktuālo sastopamību uz priedēm, un kādi faktori to varētu ietekmēt. Par pētījuma teritoriju izvēlēts Slīteres NP, jo tajā ir viena no zināmajām vietām Latvijā ar lielu populācijas atradņu skaitu. Pētījumā izmantota atkārtotā izskreju uzskiates metode, kurā izmantoti dati par 107 kokiem. Jauno izskreju skaits ir saistīts ar veco izskreu skaitu un koka sasveķojuma pakāpi. Bakalaura darbā „Sabiedrības interešu integrēšana Rāznas nacionālā parka pārvaldībā”, tiek analizēta savstarpējā mijiedarbība starp sabiedrību un īpaši aizsargājamās teritorijas pārvaldes procesiem. Jauni pētījumi liecina, ka dzīvojot aizsargājamās teritorijās privātajiem sektoriem veidojas konflikti ar vides pārvaldību, kas kontrolē apsaimniekošanas ierobežojumus. Rezultātā cilvēki attālinās no dzīvesvietas, nenovērtējot apkārtnes unikalitāti. Bakalaura darba ietvaros uzdevums noteikt sabiedrības viedokli, kā aizsargājamās teritorijas ietekmē vietējos iedzīvotājus.
