Background This article uses the logistic regression model for diagnostic decision making in patients with chronic nasal symptoms. We studied the ability of the logistic regression model, obtained by the evaluation of a database, to detect patients with positive allergy skin-prick test (SPT) and patients with negative SPT. Bakalaura darbs ”Zarnu stomas pacientu izglītošana stacionārā pirms un pēc operācijas periodā” izstrādāts ar mērķi izpētīt, kādas ir zarnu stomas pacientu izglītošana stacionārā pirms un pēc operācijas periodā. Pētījums veikts, izmantojot kvantitatīvo metodi – anketēšanu. Teorētiskajā daļā apskatīta stomas pacientu izglītošanas nozīme. Latvijā pastāvīgi pieaug cilvēku skaits, kuri ir pārdzīvojuši zarnas stomas izveides operāciju sakarā ar dažādām slimībām vai zarnu traumām. Ir nepieciešama pacientu izglītošana, jo pacienti pēc operācijas var justies stigmatizēti.
