Work Schedules and Work–Family Conflict Among Dual Earners in Finland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom

Many European families are affected by the 24/7 economy, but relatively little is known about how working parents experience nonstandard hours. The aim of this study was to analyze the possible associations of dual earners’ work schedules and other work-related factors with their experience of time- and strain-based work–family conflict. These phenomena were examined among dual earners living in Finland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, countries that differ in working time practices and policies. The Large Observatory For x-ray Timing (LOFT) was studied within ESA M3 Cosmic Vision framework and participated in the final down-selection for a launch slot in 2022-2024. Thanks to the unprecedented combination of effective area and spectral resolution of its main instrument, LOFT will study the behaviour of matter under extreme conditions, such as the strong gravitational field in the innermost regions of accretion flows close to black holes and neutron stars, and the supra-nuclear densities in the interior of neutron stars. Bakalaura darbā “Izglītības ģeogrāfija Saldus novadā: bērnu un jauniešu izvietojuma iezīmes” tiek analizētas pārmaiņas bērnu un jauniešu izvietojumā Saldus novada pagastos un ciemos. Bērnu un jauniešu izvietojumam raksturīga augsta koncentrācija novada centrālajā daļā, īpaši izglītības iestāžu tiešā tuvumā. Visos novada ciemos un pagastos jauniešu vecumā līdz 24 gadiem vidū dominē skolas vecuma bērni vecumā no 7 līdz 17 gadiem. Izvietojuma izmaiņās būtisks faktors ir iedzīvotāju sastāva novecošanās un depopulācija.
