Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin, miten lapsia ja vanhuksia kuvataan toimijuuden näkökulmasta neljän suurimman puolueen eduskuntavaaliohjelmissa. Tutkimusmenetelmänä hyödynnettiin kriittistä diskurssianalyysiä. Aineistosta oli tunnistettavissa kaksi toimijuuden diskurssia: passiivisen ja aktiivisen toimijuuden diskurssit, joissa molemmissa puhutaan lasten ja vanhusten toimijuudesta erityisesti palvelujärjestelmän kautta. This includes Macbeth refusing to shake hands with his opponent before the battle, his words to Banquo's ghost quoted in the title above, Banquo's own puzzlement at the weird sisters' placing a finger over their lips, the doctor's suspicions at Lady Macbeth's rubbing her hands and sleepwalking, as well as Malcom's request that Macduff not pull his hat over his eyes. Detecting invisible details and separating mixed evidence is critical for forensic inspection. If this can be done reliably and fast at the crime scene, irrelevant objects do not require further examination at the laboratory. This will speed up the inspection process and release resources for other critical tasks. Normative western understandings of intimate relationships continue to draw upon the discourses of romantic love and the ideal of finding ‘the one’ who meets all our romantic and sexual needs. As desire is not sexually or emotionally exclusive, even people in normative relationships have to make sense of desires beyond the monogamous ideal. Bisexual people engage in these negotiations from a challenging cultural position. As a desire for more than one gender, bisexuality is persistently culturally associated with wavering desire, promiscuity and multiple partners.
