En s’inspirant de la littérature relevant du champ du contrôle de gestion, en particulier du modèle des leviers de pilotage (levers of control) proposé par Simons (1995), l’objectif de cet article est de montrer quel peut être l’apport du management control pour analyser le pilotage des dirigeants assuré par le conseil d’administration – c’est-à-dire leur gouvernance. Cette dernière emprunte simultanément trois voies correspondant aux grands courants de la gouvernance, les courants disciplinaire, cognitif et comportemental.

Self-reported reasons for on-duty sleepiness among commercial airline pilots

Experimental and epidemiological research has shown that human sleepiness is determined especially by the circadian and homeostatic processes. The present field study examined which work-related factors airline pilots perceive as causing on-duty sleepiness during short-haul and long-haul flights. In addition, the association between the perceived reasons for sleepiness and actual sleepiness levels was examined, as well as the association between reporting inadequate sleep causing sleepiness and actual sleep-wake history. Summary Study aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the possible association of pre-career magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings and physical performance level with possible musculoskeletal disorders during jet flight training. Material and methods: The study group consisted of 73 fighter pilots who had undergone pre-career cervical and lumbar spine MRI. Physical performance of a subgroup of the pilots (n = 67) was measured initially at the same time and followed up to the fast jet training phase (ranging from 3.8 to 7.0 years). Background Adding cyclic short sustained inflations (sigh) to assisted ventilation yields optimizes lung recruitment, decreases heterogeneity and reduces inspiratory effort in patients with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF). These findings suggest that adding sigh to pressure support ventilation (PSV) might decrease the risk of lung injury, shorten weaning and improve clinical outcomes. Pētījuma dalībnieki ir lidsabiedrības SmartLynx piloti. Izlase sastāv no 61 cilvēka, kuru vidējais vecums ir 36,5 gadi (M = 36,57, SD = 10,88). Darba ietvaros tika izmantotas četras aptaujas. Īsā tumšās triādes aptauja (Short Dark Triad scale (SD3; Paulhus & Williams, 2002). Aptauja sastāv no 27 apgalvojumiem un mēra narcisismu, psihopātiju un Makjavellismu.
