Child Benefit (prestaciones familiares por hijo a cargo) is the only monetary, regular and direct allowance to contribute bringing up children in Spain. Therefore, the Family Allowance System might be seen as a privileged watchtower where it is possible to observe complex and dynamic relationships between the family, the State and the market. Moreover, it shows its influence on the wellbeing and on the dynamics of inclusion or exclusion. The Regional Effects of Public Spending on Active Labor Market Policies: Evidence from Advanced Economies

This paper examines the regional effects of public spending on Active Labor Market polices (ALMPs). Using an unbalanced sample of 308 regions belonging to 29 OECD Economies for the period 1995-2011, we show that discretionary increases in public spending on active labor market policies at the national level have statistically significant short- and medium-term effect in reducing regional unemployment rate, while raising regional output. These effects tend to be larger during periods of low GDP growth, and when complemented by a larger share of cohesion fund expenditures.

I sistemi territoriali del dopoguerra, caratterizzati dal fenomeno della polarizzazione e dalle relazioni di subordinazione tra centro e periferia, tra area interna e polo urbano, rappresentano una proiezione spaziale dei rapporti economici e sociali di un territorio, da cui dipendono le logiche delle localizzazioni, i modelli abitativi, la mobilità, i servizi. The article deals with the activities of E.D.Onatsky (Onac’kyj) in the Kingdom of Italy in the early 30s of the XX century. The Ukrainian researcher, journalist and politician came to Italy as the head of the Press-office of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Italy. He carried out scientific, journalistic and politic activities in the interwar period. During this period, Italy changed its foreign strategy: it proposed a Pact of four, became one of the main political players in Europe, signed a cooperation agreement with the USSR.
