The human Usher syndrome (USH) is the most common form of combined deaf-blindness. The encoded molecules are integrated into protein networks by scaffolds including the USH1G protein SANS (scaffold protein containing ankyrin repeats and SAM domain). Previous studies indicated SANS´ participation in vesicle transport and cargo handover at the periciliary region of photoreceptor cells. Human Usher syndrome (USH) is the most common form of combined deaf-blindness, characterized by profound congenital deafness, constant vestibular dysfunction and pre-pubertal onset of retinitis pigmentosa. Nature uses a wide variety of protein post-translational modifications to regulate protein structure and activity and tandem mass spectrometry has emerged as the most powerful analytical approach to detect these moieties. However, modified peptides present special challenges for characterization. Some attractive service scenarios for Railways' Intelligent Transport Systems (RITS) in three different user segments, that is, passengers, freight companies and train operator's in-house customers, are presented. The case study covers the analysis of customer needs and techno-economic evaluations. The analysis indicates that Flash-OFDM technology provides promising pre-stage solution for the train connections in Finland. Also, the WiMAX-based high-speed Internet access for passengers may be profitable in the most heavily operated railway leg in Finland. Il testo propone un articolato commento alle posizioni teoriche e alle linee di ricerca progettuale espresse da Michele Argentino, professore ordinario di Design a Palermo circa la necessità di riconquistare il ruolo sociale alla creatività individuale, riprendendosi il desiderio di diventare nuovamente "Homo Faber". Nell’ambito di una ricerca interdipartimentale il lavoro presenta l’esperienza di coordinamento di una attività progettuale condotta con giovani laureati nel centro storico di Caltabellotta, i cui lavori si offrono come occasione per aiutare la città a precisare intenzioni e atteggiamenti, riflessioni e azioni per innescare processi reali di rigenerazione. Dopo un anno, da quando il virus ha fatto la sua comparsa in Cina, l’impressione generalizzata che si ha è quella di un recupero di esperienze pregresse per cercare di comprendere un futuro ignoto e molto pericoloso. In realtà, per quanto si interroghi il passato, si apre una fase di sperimentazione che ha i caratteri di una navigazione in mare aperto in cui la rotta sembra essere tracciata con pochi elementi di riferimento. Questo periodo di incertezza porta con sé un fenomeno del tutto nuovo se l’inerzia della città, che ha resistito senza mostrare alcuna crepa all’avvento delle nuove tecnologie e soprattutto alla diffusione di internet, oggi sembra in crisi a causa del combinato disposto…
