Quantification of Myocardial Blood Flow Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging with Different accelerated Pulse Sequences

The aim of this study was to compare SRTurboFLASH, SR-TrueFISP, and SR-segEPI pulse sequences using a twofold TSENSE-acceleration with regard to their use in quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF). Six healthy volunteers were examined at 1.5T by first pass myocardial perfusion MRI at rest using all three TSENSE-accelerated pulse sequences. For absolute quantifi-cation of MBF XSIM software with the MMID4 model has been used. MBF analyses revealed significant MBF differences between SRTurboFLASH and SR-segEPI compared to SR-TrueFISP (p<0.005 and p<0.001, respectively). Three-dimensional rigid motion estimation using genetic algorithms from an image sequence in an active stereo vision system

This paper proposes a method for estimating the three-dimensional (3D) rigid motion parameters from an image sequence of a moving object. The 3D surface measurement is achieved using an active stereovision system composed of a camera and a light projector, which illuminates the objects to be analyzed by a pyramid-shaped laser beam. By associating the laser rays with the spots in the two-dimensional image, the 3D points corresponding to these spots are reconstructed. Each image of the sequence provides a set of 3D points, which is modeled by a B-spline surface. In this paper we adapt different techniques for image deconvolution, to the actual restoration of works of arts (mainly paintings and sculptures) from the baroque period. We use the special characteristics of these works in order to both restrict the strategies and benefit from those properties. We propose an algorithm which presents good results in the pieces we have worked. Due to the diversity of the period and the amount of artists who made it possible, the algorithms are too general even in this context. Smart camera design for intensive embedded computing

Computer-assisted vision plays an important role in our society, in various fields such as personal and goods safety, industrial production, telecommunications, robotics, etc. However, technical developments are still rare and slowed down by various factors linked to sensor cost, lack of system flexibility, difficulty of rapidly developing complex and robust applications, and lack of interaction among these systems themselves, or with their environment. This paper describes our proposal for a smart camera with real-time video processing capabilities. A CMOS sensor, processor and, reconfigurable unit associated in the same chip will allow scalability, flexibility, and high performance.

Abstract The objective of this paper is to study a structural vibration control strategy for seismic protection of multi-structure systems that combines interstructure passive damping elements with local feedback control systems implemented in the substructures.
