Transverse Crack Tension (TCT) samples represent an alternative to End Notched Flexure configurations for the characterization of pure mode II fracture toughness of Fibre Reinforced Polymer composites. TCT is supposed to reproduce a pure Mode II failure mechanism while avoiding the frictional energy dissipation between the flanks of a starter crack. The TCT geometry is that of a unidirectional tensile sample where a number of embedded plies, centered on the middle plane, are cut in the transverse fibres direction. Nel lavoro è condotto uno studio numerico su diverse tipologie di cementazione per inlay in composito utilizzate in ambito odontoiatrico per il restauro dei denti anteriori e posteriori. Il comportamento meccanico dei diversi sistemi di cementazione è stato riprodotto numericamente mediante simulazioni FEM: infatti, la moderna tecnica odontoiatrica fa uso dei software agli elementi finiti per l’elevata versatilità ed economicità nello studio di soluzioni sempre diverse. Le simulazioni hanno permesso di prevedere lo stato tensionale e l’evoluzione di una delaminazione creata all’interfaccia bi-materiale.

The paper aim is the investigation of optimal damping constant of a quarter car shock absorber that is performed in the frequency domain. The optimal damping constant refers to the value that minimizes the acceleration of all connected bodies characterizing a two degree of freedom system sketching a quarter car. The connected bodies are sprung and unsprung mass respectively for quarter of chassis and tire, the last one maintain the contact with the ground and it is connected with the sprung mass through a shock absorber characterized by spring and fluid damper. In this paper we consider the problem of disc brake noise, an unstable behaviour that occurs in disc brakes due to particular vibratory phenomena. The most obvious phenomenology is the product wheezing during braking. The numerous researches carried out have not yet reached satisfactory results for knowledge. There was a total of high frequency squeal, which depends only on the characteristics of the disc and not by brake complete. A prototype of a telescopic pole for wind energy production with low environmental impact and its lifting system for a 60 to 250 kW turbine and a height of 30 m have been designed and manufactured. A telescopic tower, which is raised and lowered by automation or by remote control, allows to differentiate the presence of the generator within the landscape over time.
