The Role of Surface Acting in the Relationship between Job Stressors, General Health and Need for Recovery Based on the Frequency of Interactions at …

2022

The aim of the study was to verify whether the frequency of face-to-face interactions with the public at work can reveal differences in how people react to emotional regulation demands. In particular, we investigated the mediating role of surface acting (a strategy of dealing with emotional dissonance) in the relationship between two typical job stressors (workload and mental load) and two outcomes closely related to work-related well-being: employees’ general health and the need for recovery. Prior studies investigating the detrimental effects of emotional dissonance mostly focused on service workers. However, in light of a survey conducted by the European Agency for Safety and Health at W…

EFFICACIA DI DISPOSITIVI FORMATIVI ELABORATIVO-RIFLESSIVI IN INTERVENTI ORIENTATI ALLO SVILUPPO DELL’IDENTITÀ PROFESSIONALE IN STUDENTI

2013

Introduzione.

ORGANIZATIONAL STIGMA: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND SYNTHESIS

2022

This systematic review aims to individuate the main theories, types and levels in organizational stigma studies, in order to fix the state of the art about the topic and propose a synthesis of the perspectives re- viewed. Indeed, literature about organizational stigma is growing but suffers of a lack of categorization of the different theoretical frameworks, stigma types classifications and levels of analysis. So, this systematic review includes reviews about organizational stigma and original studies about stigma types and levels. After individuating eight main theoretical frameworks on which organizational stigma is based, we found eight organizational stigma’s classifications of types an…

Teachers’ work-related well-being in times of covid-19: the effects of technostress and distance learning

2022

Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the first measures implemented in Italy was the transition from frontal teaching to e-learning. The sudden need to use technologies to perform their job has added a source of stress to teachers’ work, the so-called technostress. The difficulties experienced in this transition may also have affected the perception of work-related well-being, although other variables, such as the perception of the meaningfulness of work, could alleviate this sense of uneasiness. The study aims to examine the relationships between technostress, distance learning, pleasure in working and meaningful work perceptions among 219 teachers from different school …

Self-reported reflective functioning mediates the association between attachment insecurity and well-being among psychotherapists.

2020

Objective: Subjective well-being is a crucial variable for mental health practitioners. This study examines the influence of therapists’ attachment dimensions and self-reported reflective functioning on their perceived well-being. Further, it examines if reflective functioning mediates the association between attachment insecurity and well-being. Method: A total of 416 experienced psychotherapists were enrolled in this cross-sectional study, and completed self-report measures of attachment insecurity, reflective functioning, and well-being. We tested the hypothesized mediation model with path analysis that examined indirect effects. Results: Both attachment anxiety and avoidance dimensions …
