Finite amplitude method applied to giant dipole resonance in heavy rare-earth nuclei

2015

Background: The quasiparticle random phase approximation (QRPA), within the framework of the nuclear density functional theory (DFT), has been a standard tool to access the collective excitations of the atomic nuclei. Recently, finite amplitude method (FAM) has been developed, in order to perform the QRPA calculations efficiently without any truncation on the two-quasiparticle model space. Purpose: We discuss the nuclear giant dipole resonance (GDR) in heavy rare-earth isotopes, for which the conventional matrix diagonalization of the QRPA is numerically demanding. A role of the Thomas-Reiche-Kuhn (TRK) sum rule enhancement factor, connected to the isovector effective mass, is also investig…

Hybrid optomechanics for Quantum Technologies

2014

We review the physics of hybrid optomechanical systems consisting of a mechanical oscillator interacting with both a radiation mode and an additional matter-like system. We concentrate on the cases embodied by either a single or a multi-atom system (a Bose-Einstein condensate, in particular) and discuss a wide range of physical effects, from passive mechanical cooling to the set-up of multipartite entanglement, from optomechanical non-locality to the achievement of non-classical states of a single mechanical mode. The reviewed material showcases the viability of hybridised cavity optomechanical systems as basic building blocks for quantum communication networks and quantum state-engineering…

THE ROLE OF CONCEPTUAL FOUNDATIONS OF QUANTUM THEORY IN THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN SCIENCE AND RELIGION

2001

A recent development in the understanding of conceptual foundations of quantum theory is discussed, giving particular attention to the analysis of the so called Schroedinger’s cat paradox. The solution of this problem in the frameworks of Everett-Wheeler many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics is considered, as well as the philosophical and theological consequences following from this interpretation. The recommendations are given, concerning the use of questions related with conceptual foundations of quantum theory in the education when introducing students and senior class pupils in problems of the dialogue between science and religion. KEY WORDS: science, religion, dialogue, found…

The cosmic energy bridge, cellular quantum consciousness and its connections

2015

A conscious moment occurs when an individual is in a state of awareness of one’s self and the external environment. The human brain has been extensively studied to understand the phenomena of human thought and behavior in the context of consciousness. Consciousness has always been linked to the nervous system but there are several studies that have recorded conscious behaviours in organisms without nerve cells. This paper hypothesizes that quantum energy generated consciousness emerges in each and every living cell and traverses by means of electromagnetic radiation; an oldest form of energy that exist in the cosmos and which utilizes the cellular structures to flow by means of a coherent, …

End-of-Life Experience Case Study and a Proposed Quantum Physics Hypothesis

2017

This case study is a retrospection of my family’s experiences that highlight several ELE facets. Following a description, we attempt to explain some of these phenomena from the perspectives of science and other germane disciplines.

Heisenberg Uncertainty in Reduced Power Algebras

2011

The Heisenberg uncertainty relation is known to be obtainable by a purely mathematical argument. Based on that fact, here it is shown that the Heisenberg uncertainty relation remains valid when Quantum Mechanics is re formulated within far wider frameworks of {\it scalars}, namely, within one or the other of the infinitely many {\it reduced power algebras} which can replace the usual real numbers $\mathbb{R}$, or complex numbers $\mathbb{C}$. A major advantage of such a re-formulation is, among others, the disappearance of the well known and hard to deal with problem of the so called "infinities in Physics". The use of reduced power algebras also opens up a foundational question about the r…

The Principle of Existence II: Genesis of Self-Referential Matrix Law, & the Ontology & Mathematics of Ether

2010

In the beginning there was prespacetime (GOD) by itself e0 =1 materially empty and spiritually restless. And it began to imagine through primordial self-referential spin such that it created the self-referential Matrix Law, the external object to be observed and internal object as observed, separated them into external world and internal world, caused them to interact through said Matrix Law and thus gave birth to the Universe which it has since passionately loved, sustained and made to evolve. In short, this work is the continuation of our hypothesis of scientific genesis, sustenance & evolution of the Universe and all creations within (the principle of existence).

Prespacetime-Premomentumenergy Model I: Generation of Elementary Particles & Quantum Theory for a Dual Universe Comprised of Spacetime & Momentum-ene…

2014

This article is a continuation of the Principle of Existence. A prespacetime-premomentumenergy model of elementary particles, four forces and human consciousness is formulated, which illustrate how the self-referential hierarchical spin structure of the prespacetime-premomentumenergy (God) may provide a foundation for creating, sustaining and causing evolution of elementary particles through matrixing processes embedded in said prespacetime-premomentumenergy (God). This model generates elementary particles and their governing matrix laws for a dual universe (quantum frame) comprised of an external spacetime and an internal energy-momentum space. In contrast, the prespacetime model described…

Prespacetime-Premomentumenergy Model II: Genesis of Self-Referential Matrix Law & Mathematics of Ether

2014

This work is a continuation of prespacetime-premomentumenergy model described recently. Here we show how in this model prespacetime-premomentumenergy (God) generates: (1) four-momentum and four-position relation as transcendental Law of One, (2) self-referential matrix law with four-momentum and four-position relation as the determinant, and (3) Law of Zero in a dual universe comprised of an external spacetime and an internal momentum-energy space. We further show how prespacetime-premomentumenergy (God) may generate, sustain and make evolving elementary particles and composite particles incorporating the genesis of self-referential matrix law. In addition, we will discuss the ontology and …
