Vertaisoppimista hyödyntämällä voidaan luoda vuorovaikutuksellisia oppimistilanteita sekä tukea opiskelijan toimijuutta. Toteuttamallani sulautuvalla tiedonhankinnan kurssilla opiskelijat työstävät omaa oppimispolkuaan tekemällä opetusvideoita vertaisoppijoille. Kerron tässä artikkelissa, miten kurssi on toteutettu ja mitä olen oppinut kehittäessäni kurssia. Mitä tapahtuu, kun opiskelijat ottavat asiantuntijan roolin ja tekevät opetusvideoita vertaisoppijoille? Voiko näin syntyvää materiaalia hyödyntää kirjaston opetus- ja ohjemateriaaleissa? Entä mitä opiskelijat itse ovat mieltä kurssista? Millä muilla tavoin vertaisoppimista voisi hyödyntää ja miksi?

Analysis of high-frequency rotational angioplasty-induced echo contrast.

During high-frequency rotational angioplasty (HFRA), myocardial contrast enhancement (echo contrast) was observed by means of two-dimensional echocardiography. In order to evaluate the echo contrast produced by HFRA, an in vitro experimental model was built using a cylinder with the HFRA catheter scanned in a water bath. The cylinder was filled with blood, mineral water, and distilled water. With a 2.5-MHz transducer, echograms were recorded and analyzed by video intensitometer, and the maximum intensity IUmax and persistence time P were calculated. ELS live surgery: a developing story

Since 2015, the European Laryngological Society (ELS) has organized on a yearly basis the European Laryngological Live Surgery Broadcast. The goal of this paper is to demonstrate the increasing worldwide audience. The number of individual computers logged in, number of estimated audience, and number of countries with an active audience were calculated and compared to the numbers in 2015. In 2018, 19 live interventions were performed in three parallel sessions. The surgeons worked in 10 departments in 8 different countries. Televised endoscopy and the concept of the “assisted” endoscopic operation is of great help in teaching surgical endoscopic techniques. The use of training dummies provides a new method of training manual dexterity and surgical skills in special courses or in surgical skill laboratories. We have developed a training system for transanal endoscopic microsurgery. Operations with our technique were performed on 116 patients. Like other microsurgical techniques, our method requires a special introduction and intensive training. A particularly prominent role has been ascribed to the inhibitory effects of serotonin 2C receptor (5-HT2CR) activation on physiology and behavior mediated by the mesolimbic dopaminergic pathway, particularly in the terminal region of the nucleus accumbens. The aim of this study was to assess the interrater reliability of ultrasound for diagnosing sialolithiasis. A total of 100 consecutive patients with signs of obstructive sialadenopathy were evaluated. The patients all underwent ultrasound examinations in a standardized manner conducted by one specialist with extensive experience in the management of salivary gland disorders and proficiency in head and neck ultrasonography. The study aims to identify human walking disorders, proposing a model to solve these disorders, regardless of what caused them. Material and method Clinical and somatometric tests, pedometric investigations and sensors were used.
