<p style="text-align: justify;">An experiment on Syrah in the Ecotron design of the AGRO Montpellier/INRA campus vineyard, with the control of different water regimes, allowed to test the physiological meaning and the field of application of different modalities of leaf water potential measurements : predawn and daily potential for leaves in a normal micro-environment (which keep all of their interest and generality), « stem » potential (which must be called differently and reserved to particular conditions) for shadow enveloped leaves. Field observations on Syrah and Merlot confirm the interest of some methods.</p>

This thesis presents a study of the nonlinear dissipative dynamics of localized of self organized structures in passively mode-locked fiber laser through nonlinear polarization evolution. We reveal the existence of a gradual transition from the quasi-cw to mode locked dynamics in the multi-pulsing regime. We emphasize on the intermediate state, where various new dynamics are observed. We study collective behaviors of dissipative solitons in the presence of a continuous background. Randomized Comparative Trial with Ceftizoxime and Cefotaxime in Urinary Tract Infections

Ceftizoxime, a new, semisynthetic, beta-lactamase-resistant cephalosporin, is not metabolized in man and is excreted almost entirely as the original active compound in the urine. The efficacy and safety of ceftizoxime were assessed in 80 patients with acute and chronic urinary infections, with and without associated pathological conditions, in comparison with cefotaxime. Two dosage schedules, 1 g or 0.5 g every 12 h, i.v. or i.m. for 10 days, were adopted according to the severity of each case and to separate randomization tables for each schedule; causal agents were all sensitive to both drugs in vitro. This survey (PhD) sheds light on women’s status in the French society between 1770 and 1789, through the study of approximately 200 printed judicial briefs or factums. Although they were under men’s control, women could go to court. Wives had to obey their husbands. Nevertheless, they often showed their independence in judicial briefs. Widows could act by themselves, protect their families and influence the wealth distribution between the family members. “Girls” or “never-married women” are rare in judicial briefs, even though they could play important parts. Weekly treatment with irinotecan, folinic acid and infusional 5-fluorouracil (ILF) in patients with advanced gastric cancer.

Although 5-fluorouracil remains the mainstay of treatment for advanced gastric cancer (AGC), no standard chemotherapy regimen exists. Combinations of irinotecan with folinic acid and infusional 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) (ILF) have shown good efficacy with acceptable toxicity in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. At present, only sparse data on ILF are available for AGC. Therefore we conducted a prospective study of this combination in 25 consecutive patients with metastatic gastric cancer. Bevacizumab, is a humanized monoclonal antibody to vasculo-endothelial- growth-factor, with anticancer activity in non-small-cell-lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Our previous results from a dose/finding phase I trial in NSCLC patients, demonstrated the anti-angiogenic effects and toxicity of a newest bevacizumab-based combination with fractioned cisplatin and daily oral etoposide. We designed a phase II trial to evaluate in advanced NSCLC patients the antitumor activity and the safety of this novel regimen.
