Suomalaisen sosiaalipolitiikan ja liikuntapolitiikan yhtenevät päämäärät 1920-80-luvuilla
2018
Tutkimusmenetelmä on integroiva …
The use of Electronic Information Systems in social work : A scoping review of the empirical articles published between 2000 and 2019
2022
Tulosten mu…
The contested concept of vulnerability : a literature review
2020
The concept of vulnerability is widely used in the social sciences as well as in policy making, health and social care services and in social work, referring to a variety of groups or individuals, but it has rarely been theoretically defined or analysed. This article provides a literature review on how vulnerability has been used and defined in academic, peer-reviewed articles published in international social science journals between 2000 and 2016. The aim is to analyse and clarify critically the concept for social work research. The article analyses themes and topics connected to vulnerability, how gender is related to vulnerability and how vulnerability is conceptualised in these article…

Way better than the original!! Music video covers and language revitalisation : A sociosemiotic view
2016
The development of the social media has opened up new spaces and genres for minoritised languages. As argued in previous research, access to new media spaces can contribute to the revitalisation of minoritised languages by generating new functions and values for them. Combining sociolinguistic and sociosemiotic approaches and bringing together data from four minority language contexts, Irish, Welsh, Sámi, and Corsican, this study addresses the potential of music video covers on YouTube to contribute to language revitalisation. The investigation suggests that music video covers in minority languages can have significance in language revitalisation in both language ideological and practical t…
Reverberation still in business: Thickening and propagating micro-textures in physics-based sound modeling
2015
Artificial reverberation is usually introduced, as a digital audio effect, to give a sense of enclosing architectural space. In this paper we argue about the effectiveness and usefulness of diffusive reverberators in physically-inspired sound synthesis. Examples are given for the synthesis of textural sounds, as they emerge from solid mechanical interactions, as well as from aerodynamic and liquid phenomena.

The Far-Reaching Consequences of Job Insecurity : A Review on Family-Related Outcomes
2017
Job insecurity (JI) appears a fairly stable job stressor in working life today and likely to impair employee well-being. This review article presents the key findings of studies examining the effects of perceived JI on family well-being (e.g., marital/parental role quality, work–family conflict). The results, based on 25 published peer-reviewed studies, suggest an association between JI and impaired family well-being. Thus, JI spills over into family life as proposed in the spillover theory of work–family interface. Furthermore, studies have found some evidence of crossover effects of JI from parents to children: parents’ JI relates to negative outcomes in children. These results support th…
SULLA REVOCA DEGLI AMMINISTRATORI DI SOCIETÀ A PARTECIPAZIONE PUBBLICA NEL C.D. SPOILS SYSTEM
2020
Management of Early Glottic Cancer Treated by CO2 Laser According to Surgical-Margin Status: A Systematic Review of the Literature
2021
Abstract Introduction Transoral laser microsurgery (TLM) is the treatment of choice for Tis-T2 squamous cell glottic carcinomas due to its advantages compared with open surgery and radiotherapy. However, the CO2 laser beam causes changes and damage on the specimens, making the histological assessment of resection margins, the gold standard for confirming radical tumor resection, sometimes difficult. Objective To assess the different ways to manage patients depending on the status of the histopathological margin according to recent studies to detect the most commonly shared therapeutic strategy. Data Synthesis We analyzed the literature available on the PubMed and Web of Science databases, i…
