Nanorings driven by a laser field
2013
We present the dynamics of an electron constrained over an 1D ring with radius of 0.142 nm driven by a laser field. The temporal evolution of the system is evaluated by a semi-analytical solution of the full quantum time dependent Schr¨odinger equation. In our calculation the gap energy between the ground and the first excited state of the nanoring is three times the photon energy laser (0.63 eV) and the laser intensity is 4·1014 W/cm2 . Our analysis is performed by considering different polarization states of the incident laser. Our attention is mainly focused on the study of the High Harmonic Generation (HHG), the energy and the angular momentum absorbed by the driven system. We observe 1…
Bi-2212 and Y123 highly curved single-crystal-like objects: whiskers, bows and ring-like structures
2012
High-temperature superconducting objects of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 and Y Ba2Cu3O7 highly curved in the ab-plane, such as curved/kinked whiskers, bows and ring-like structures, were obtained within a solid?liquid?solid (SLS) grass-like growth mechanism. As-grown objects are crystals with three-dimensional epitaxy similar to conventional single crystals: they can be viewed as crystal parts ?cut? from a conventional rectangular crystal. Between our curved objects and conventional crystals, whiskers or thin films there are some differences in the superconducting properties induced only by the shape factors and no new physics is observed. Some details of the growth mechanism are discussed, emphasizing cu…

A survey on algebraic dilatations
2023
In this text, we wish to provide the reader with a short guide to recent works on the theory of dilatations in Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry. These works fall naturally into two categories: one emphasises foundational and theoretical aspects and the other applications to existing theories.

Value Creation Behavior of Oura Ring Users in Social Media (Customer-dominant LOGIC)
2022
Smart devices such as self-trackers are being used by an ever-increasing number of exercisers to self-monitor their health. Users' interactions in social media can co-create and co-destruct the value and has a substantial impact on services. To investigate Oura Ring users' value creation behavior in the online context, we focus on customer-dominant logic and customer-to-customer (C2C) interaction. This paper proposes a conceptual framework, one of the first to investigate value creation in an empirical study in the context of well-being. Oura Ring is a smart ring that enables users to track their activities and sleep quality. To test relationships, structural equation modeling and Fuzzy Set…
Saint-Dizier « la Tuilerie » (Haute-Marne) : trois sépultures d’élite du VIe siècle
2019
In 2002, excavations carried out by Marie-Cécile Truc (Inrap) at Saint-Dizier led to the discovery of four graves of exceptional wealth, containing a young woman, two men and a horse, dated to c. 525-550 AD. Dressed and adorned with numerous jewels, the young female was laid in a coffin upon which were placed vessels in glass, copper alloy goblet and ceramic. Each male had been buried in an excavated funerary chamber, built within an oak frame. They were laid in their coffins along with their personal clothing, including a ceremonial sword with two rings added to the pommel. The larger weapons (throwing axes, shields, lances and angons) as well as various utensils were placed either on the …
