Abstract Many signal processing applications require performing statistical inference on large datasets, where computational and/or memory restrictions become an issue. In this big data setting, computing an exact global centralized estimator is often either unfeasible or impractical. The Role of Searle's Constitutive Rules for the Rational Criticizability of Institutional Reality

My hypothesis is that we can derive the normative conditions that institutions and institutional acts have to meet in order to be rationally acceptable/recognizable from the logical structure of institutional reality. Developing Searle's achievements on the constitutive role of speech acts in the construction of institutional reality and on their character of institutional acts, I'll show that the same types of constitutive rules underlying illocutionary acts also underlie institutional reality. Pentaquark decay width in QCD sum rules

In a diquark-diquark-antiquark picture of the pentaquark we study the decay $\Theta \rightarrow K^{+} n$ within the framework of QCD sum rules. After evaluation of the relevant three-point function, we extract the coupling $g_{\Theta nK}$ which is directly related to the pentaquark width. Restricting the decay diagrams to those with color exchange between the meson-like and baryon-like clusters reduces the coupling constant by a factor of four. Whereas a small decay width might be possible for a positive parity pentaquark, it seems difficult to explain the measured width for a pentaquark with negative parity.

Lo studio si concentra sulle norme relative alla responsabilità dei prestatori di servizi di condivisione di contenuti on-line e le confronta con le disposizioni generali contenute nel Digital Services Act. The essay analyzes the transposition of dir. 2019/790/EU, on copyright and related rights in the digital single market. The study focuses on the liability rules of online content sharing service providers and compares them with the general provisions contained in the Digital Services Act.

In this paper we exploit the notions of conjoined and iterated conditionals, which are defined in the setting of coherence by means of suitable conditional random quantities with values in the interval $[0,1]$. We examine the iterated conditional $(B|K)|(A|H)$, by showing that $A|H$ p-entails $B|K$ if and only if $(B|K)|(A|H) = 1$. Assessing fat-tailed sequential forecast distributions for the Dow-Jones index with logarithmic scoring rules

We use the logarithmic scoring rule for distributions to assess a variety of fat-tailed sequential forecasting distributions for the Dow-Jones industrial stock index from 1980 to the present. The methodology applies Bruno de Finetti''s contributions to understanding how to compare the quality of different coherent forecasting distributions for the same sequence of observations, using proper scoring rules.
