We report here on the synthesis of a series of mono-and dinuclear gold(I) complexes exhibiting sulfonated bis(NHC) ligands and novel hydroxylated mono(NHC) Au(I) compounds, which were also examined for their 'biological activities. Initial cell viability assays show strong antiproliferative activities of the hydroxylated mono(NHC) gold compounds (8 > 9 > 10) against 2008 human ovarian cancer cells even after 1 h incubation. New data on the interest of ruthenium doped lanthanum strontium chromite La1-xSrxCr1-yRuyO3δ (LSCrRu) as anode in ITSOFC are presented. Microwave synthesis of mixed oxides allowed shaping of half-cells and complete cells using sputtering and screen printing methods. LSCrRu methane reforming property had been studied in a mono-chamber system coupled with a mass spectrometer in collaboration with Institut de REcherche Hydro-Québec. Anode/electrolyte interfacial reactivity had been analysed using SIMS and XRD on half cells models after ageing under H2 at 800°C. Adsorption of 5 L-arabinose tautomers – one acyclic and four cyclic (α and β, pyranose and furanose) species – on a ruthenium surface was studied as a precursor-process of the, nowadays more and more, industrially important sugar catalytic hydrogenation on metal surfaces in water medium. The study was mostly referred to a 37-atom metal catalyst fragment, even though border-effects on the adsorption processes were also checked employing a 61-atom metal fragment.
