The article tackles the issue of protection of personal data of internet users through the usage of cookies by digital content and service providers. It analyses the European legislative framework and, in particular, the General Data Protection Regulation, the so called E-Privacy Directive and the new Directive concerning the supply of digital content and services. The contribution debates the role of individual consent in this field and the interaction with the rules and the remedies provided by European Consumer Law, such as the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, in order to protect user's personal data in the evolution of data-driven economy.

Lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic: results of EAHP survey on the future crisis preparedness of hospital pharmacies

Aim The present survey aimed to collect information on the lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic by hospital pharmacists. It focused on the shortages of health goods and the experiences of hospitals during the first phase of the crisis. Methods A 17-question survey was conducted by EAHP, looking at the experiences of hospital pharmacists during the COVD-19 pandemic. The survey ran from 16 September to 23 December 2020. Statistical analysis included backward stepwise logistic regression (BSLR), Pearson’s χ2 test, t-test and one-way ANOVA, as appropriate; p≤0.05 was considered statistically significant. Health recommendations state that for young elderly systematic physical activi-ties at moderate intensity for at least 150 minutes per week are required to help them stay in good shape for their senior years. We have found that young elderly readily gets started with a physical activity (PA) program but there is some challenge to make them stay with this program. We have learned that a PA program should build on activities that users find meaningful and/or best suited for their history of PA and their present physical capacity.
