In this paper I will compare A. Honneth’s neo-socialist project with J. Habermas’ proposal of a post-secular society. Since both of these approaches are aimed to contrast with neoliberal theories, I will give explanation of my preference for Habermas’. I will do that by considering the relationship between the concepts of utopia, liberty and society.

The anthropological premise to the pedagogical treatment of fairy tales contribution to the formation of sexual and gender identity in girls and boys is the origin of sexual dimorphism that, being present in all cultures, cannot only be the result of socio-cultural conditioning. Considering the mutual cooperation between men and women and the wider family and social harmony, contemporary fairy tales and the appropriate reinterpretations of classic fairy tales have great educational potential for sexual identity development and for overcoming social stereotypes related to sex in girls and boys.

"Intersezioni. Percorsi attraverso i saperi" sono dei percorsi interdisciplinari inseriti nel "Nuovo manuale di letteratura" di Luperini, Cataldi, Marchiani, Marchese, che vengono introdotti per potenziare il lavoro di preparazione in vista dell'esame di Stato della Scuola Secondaria di 2° grado. Tali percorsi intrecciano testi letterari e non letterari (compresi documenti iconografici e fotografici) e forniscono dei laboratori di scrittura per la produzione del saggio breve, del tema storico o di ordine generale. In particolare, questo percorso è dedicato al tema del lavoro e dei diritti sociali dall'Ottocento all'età post-industriale

The paper provides food for thought on the issue of corruption in Ammianus Marcellinus’ History pointing out the need for revising the criteria of valuation of this phenomenology in order to assess it in modern conceptual terms. As a consequence Ammianus’ Res Gestae have to be analysed moving from the political, economic and social contexts as they stem not only from historiographical sources, but also from the Codes, enabling scholars to test the level of bias of the historian who was stubbornly anchored to the values of tradition that, in his opinion, coincided with the ordo’s privileges.

The ability to explain word meanings is central to a child’s language development and socialisation into different domains of language use. In previous research explanations have been shown to be linked to cognitive and linguistic development as well as academic language and discursive skills. A language socialisation perspective on Swedish immersion in Finland : Students, teachers, and parents as key actors

Abstract This retrospective review applies a language socialisation perspective in examining the findings of a four-year research project on Swedish immersion in Finland. Findings from nine sub-studies within the project are reported with a point-of-view from three key actors’ (teachers, students, and parents) language socialisation processes. Results show that a special feature of immersion teacher socialisation is its continuous attention toward the additive multilingual nature of immersion education, which requires sustained attention to multilingual language use and development.
