The stoichiometry of blue vanadium doped zircon obtained by sol-gel methods
1992
Abstract In this study, Sol-Gel processes in aqueous solution were used to investigate the stoichiometry of the V/1bZrSiO 4 solid solutions achieved by this method. Compositions with a formal stoichiometric defect in: (a) ZrO 2 ([ZrO 2 ] 1−2x [SiO 2 ] [V 2 O 5 ] x ), and (b) in SiO 2 ([ZrO 2 ] [SiO 2 ] 1−2x [V 2 O 5 ] x ), x=0.02, 0.04, 0.05 and 0.10 have been prepared. X Ray Diffraction analyses in fired samples (1200°/3 days) showed that cristobalite and monoclinic zirconia appear as residual crystalline phase in (a) and (b) compositions respectively, except in sample (a) with x=0.02 in which no residual phase was detected and therefore is considered stoichiometric. This sample and sample…
LFZ growth of (Bi, Pb)–Sr–Ca–Cu–O superconducting fibers
1991
Powder x-ray diffraction, d.c. and a.c. susceptibilities, and SEM have been used to study (Bi1−xPbx)2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10−δ fibers grown by the Laser Floating Zone method. The well-oriented, long-grained superconductor fiber properties are shown to be highly dependent on the partial pressure of oxygen in the growth atmosphere, as well as on fiber pulling rate. Slowly grown fibers contain initially the 2212 (80 K) phase; the 2223 (110 K) phase also appears upon annealing in air. Faster growth rates result in fibers that contain a mixture of the 2212 and 2201 phases and, in this case, long annealing procedures are necessary to observe the 2223 phase.
Global dynamical behaviors in a physical shallow water system
2016
International audience; The theory of bifurcations of dynamical systems is used to investigate the behavior of travelling wave solutions in an entire family of shallow water wave equations. This family is obtained by a perturbative asymptotic expansion for unidirectional shallow water waves. According to the parameters of the system, this family can lead to different sets of known equations such as Camassa-Holm, Korteweg-de Vries, Degasperis and Procesi and several other dispersive equations of the third order. Looking for possible travelling wave solutions, we show that different phase orbits in some regions of parametric planes are similar to those obtained with the model of the pressure …
Constrained differential inclusions with nonlocal initial conditions
2017
International audience; We show existence for the perturbed sweeping process with nonlocal initial conditions under very general hypotheses. Periodic, anti-periodic, mean value and multipoints conditions are included in this study. We give abstract results for differential inclusions with nonlocal initial conditions through bounding functions and tangential conditions. Some applications to differential complementarity systems and to vector hysteresis are given.
Straightforward access to water-soluble unsymmetrical sulfoxanthene dyes: application to the preparation of far-red fluorescent dyes with large stoke…
2014
An efficient synthesis of water-soluble unsymmetrical sulforhodamine/sulforhodol fluorophores containing a single julolidine fragment is presented. Owing to their valuable spectral properties in aqueous buffers, these dyes, especially those bearing a free aniline or phenol moiety, are valuable components of fluorogenic probes for a variety of biosensing applications. A further extension of this synthetic methodology to unusual phenols, namely 7-N,N-dialkylamino-4-hydroxy coumarins has enabled us to provide a new family water-soluble dyes of large Stokes’ shift with far-red spectral features.
Propagation d'informations le long d'une ligne de transmission non linéaire structurée en super réseau et simulant un neurone myélinisé
2019
Non-linear systems are almostly described by partial differential equations that characterize them. We have some systems such as the chain of coupled pebdelums, the protein chain comprising molecules with hydrogen bonds, atomic lattice, and so on .These systems are most often characterized by anharmonic inter particulate interactions and and then immersed in deformable potential substrates. In addition to nonlinearity and dispersion, these other phenomena namely anharmonicity and deformability are responsible for certain properties of propagation of solitary waves such as (compactons, kinks and anti-kinks, peackons, ...etc) and also the ability of the systems to transmit a signal . We used …
On the analytical expression of the multicompacton and some exact compact solutions of a nonlinear diffusive Burgers’type equation
2018
International audience; We consider the nonlinear diffusive Burgers' equation as a model equation for signals propagation on the nonlinear electrical transmission line with intersite nonlinearities. By applying the extend sine-cosine method and using an appropriate modification of the Double-Exp function method, we successfully derived on one hand the exact analytical solutions of two types of solitary waves with strictly finite extension or compact support: kinks and pulses, and on the other hand the exact solution for two interacting pulse solitary waves with compact support. These analytical results indicate that the speed of the pulse compactons doesn't depends explicitly on the pulse a…
Towards enhanced durability of electrochromic WO3 interfaced with liquid or ceramic sodium-based electrolytes
2020
Abstract The reversible intercalation of sodium ion into tungsten oxide WO3 appears as an interesting alternative to hydrogen or lithium ion reduction in order to get the characteristic transition from clear transparent to bluish coloration in electrochromic devices, but it has been comparatively less considered. In order to address further viable all-ceramic devices based on sodium ion intercalation and overcome the issue of WO3 degradation in aqueous media, three configurations of WO3 thin film-based electrochromic half-cells were tested, namely in (i) aqueous acidified Na2SO4 electrolyte, (ii) room temperature ionic liquid BEPipTFSI electrolyte and (iii) aqueous acidified Na2SO4 electrol…
Rational solutions to the mKdV equation associated to particular polynomials
2021
International audience; Rational solutions to the modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation are given in terms of a quotient of determinants involving certain particular polynomials. This gives a very efficient method to construct solutions. We construct very easily explicit expressions of these rational solutions for the first orders n = 1 until 10.
