Item does not contain fulltext Aim of the present Consensus Statement is to provide a comprehensive and up to-date document on the pathophysiology, atherogenicity and clinical significance of low density liproproteins (LDL) subclasses. We sub-divided our statement in 2 sections. section I discusses the pathophysiology, atherogenicity and measurement issues, while section II is focused on the effects of drug and lifestyle modifications. Suggestions for future research in the field are highlighted at the end of section II. Each section includes Conclusions.

This paper analyses the disclosure on the directors’ remuneration, whose primary role in a company, makes their information of particular interest to different stakeholders. The authors’ aim is to investigate the official documents (for 2009) of the 50 most capitalized listed Italian companies, in order to verify the compulsory and/or voluntary disclosure provided about the remuneration paid to their directors. The findings will be summarized in a disclosure index whose correlation with some parameters (selected on the basis of specific research hypothesis) concerning board structure and company size will be assessed.

Abstract Environmental impacts of small scale projects are often assessed poorly, or not assessed at all. This paper examines the usability of the Rapid Impact Assessment Matrix (RIAM) as a tool to prioritize project proposals for small scale water restoration projects in relation to proposals' potential to improve the environment. The RIAM scoring system was used to assess and rank the proposals based on their environmental impacts, the costs of the projects to repair the harmful impacts, and the size of human population living around the sites. Growth hormone deficiency (GHD) describes the impairment of growth hormone (GH) secretion by the pituitary somatotroph cells. GHD may be congenital, with causes, including genetic alterations and structural brain malformations, or acquired, including midline tumours, cranial irradiation, traumatic brain injury, central nervous system infections and inflammatory conditions.
