Risk stratification at primary care centres in Valencia (Spain) to activate integrated care pathways for elderly patients with chronic conditions

2017

Introduction: The activation of integrated care pathways is not always easy and is time-consuming, so the standardized use of stratification tools (ST) can support health care professionals in decision-making processes. Several ST –developed and validated in the United States– have been implemented in the Valencia Region (Spain) at primary care (PC) centres to identify elders with multimorbidity at risk of suffering future hospital admissions (FHA). In spite of the usefulness of these instruments, it would be recommended to apply STs which have been specifically designed on the basis of the Spanish healthcare system and the characteristics of its population. (Homosexual) Male Sex Work: Sociological Representations, Social Realities and New Normalizations

2016

Homosexual male sex work is undoubtedly a complex phenomenon, underestimated and overlooked not just in scientific research,2 but also in social policy. The present chapter will discuss main sociological perspectives on male sex work.

THE EXPLORED ARCHITECTURE. THE VIRTUAL MODEL OF A HISTORICAL STRATIFICATION

2010

The present study deepens -through documents of historical iconography and critical studies on morphological, geometrical and structural aspects- spatial and volumetric relationships between the medieval Torre Pisana of Palazzo Reale to Palermo (also known as Palazzo dei Normanni) and the Astronomical Observatory, site on the summit of the tower. A brief historical and architectural description of the evolution of the tightly correlated structure to the historical-cultural vicissitudes, to the advancement of the scientific theories and to the innovation of the tools of observation and of survey, is a deepening of knowledge for the conservation and safeguard of the architectural testimony. T…
