The aim of this research is to develop a toolkit enabling to observe transversal skills of future teachers. The research was carried out with 236 students attending the Educational Technologies course at the Primary Education program at Palermo University, during academic year 2017/2018. Se presenta una investigación sobre las experiencias de aprendizaje de las ciencias de los maestros/as en formación inicial de dos universidades españolas. Se recogieron 263 relatos de vida entre estudiantes de Grado en Educación Infantil y Primaria -a partes iguales en que narraban sus vivencias en las etapas de Infantil, Primaria y Secundaria, y también en entornos no académicos. Virtual Distance Lessons in Secondary School Teachers Continuous Education

The paper provides an overview of organization principles of interactive distance teaching as well as its implementation for continuous education course for bilingual education teachers of 6 programme’s subjects. Distance teaching sessions were organized in 10 school’s computer classes. There are considered possible solutions for interactive distance learning classes. Lessons organization, based on the server’s remote session control is described. It is arranged participating teacher survey regarding usability of applied environment and made conclusions about appropriateness of developed approach.

New trends in teacher’s education. Educational placement of the adopted child

Abstract In Italy, the number of adopted school-age children is increasing. According to the Commission of Intercountry Adoption (2013), 3106 children were adopted, 47.5% of them are between 5 and 9 years old. The present action-research aims at exploring the spread of good approaches in schools in terms of welcoming of adopted children. For this purpose, 268 teachers of primary schools were involved in analyzing the social representation about adopted children and their family. The results show a simplified vision of the adoptive family, which is described as heroic family or, on the contrary, as a family with difficulty.

Student teachers’ views of their own musical skills to teach the National Core Curriculum in Finland

As in many other countries, Finnish primary school teacher education has reduced substantially the amount of music studies during recent decades. From the perspective of the National Core Curriculum, there is a reason to reflect on teacher education and primary school student teachers’ skills to teach music. The present study investigates 392 student teachers’ musical skills in five different teacher training programmes in Finland. Tässä tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan, miten luokanopettajaopiskelijat (N = 76) arvioivat omaa tekstien tuottamistaan ja sen oppimista. Tutkimusaineistona olivat lomakekyselyn avoimet vastaukset. Aineisto analysoitiin aineistolähtöisen ja teoriaohjaavan sisällönanalyysin keinoin. Tulokset osoittavat, että opiskelijat lähestyvät tekstien tuottamista ja sen oppimista suhtautumis-, osaamis- ja kehittymiskeskeisesti.
