Fermion pair production in e+e- collisions at 189-209 GeV and constraints on physics beyond the Standard Model

Cross sections, angular distributions and forward-backward asymmetries are presented, of two-fermion events produced in e+e- collisions at centre-of-mass energies from 189 to 209 GeV at LEP, measured with the ALEPH detector. Results for e+e-, mu+mu-, tau+tau-, qq, bb and cc production are in agreement with the Standard Model predictions. Constraints are set on scenarios of new physics such as four-fermion contact interactions, leptoquarks, Z' bosons, TeV-scale quantum gravity and R-parity violating squarks and sneutrinos.

Este estudio analiza la imagen del cuerpo representado en las portadas de los libros de texto de Educación Física vinculado a un tipo de actividad física, para comprobar si se ajustan a las directrices que marca la legislación actual con respecto a los materiales curriculares. El estudio es de tipo empírico, descriptivo y comparativo entre los libros de texto analizados. The article lists the significant occurrences of the twofold element of light and darkness in Primo Levi’s published works. After a methodological introduction, which highlights premises and purposes of this starting research, the article provides an overview following an order by literary genre: poetry, narrative, essay writing. The last chapter lists the relevant occurrences of the “gray” colour in the edited books before I Sommersi e I salvati, in order to identify a possible birthplace of the well-known notion “gray zone” and to detect Levi’s earlier use of the gray colour as an attribute of moral ambiguity.

When referring to migrants, the collective representation sees them as recipients of services offered by the third sector and not, in the first instance, as actors actively engaged in associative processes. Addressing the issue of the relationship between migrants and the third sector implies, therefore, proposing a change of perspective that leads to think of migrants (also this rather wide category) not as direct beneficiaries, as victims in need, but as protagonists actively engaged in the institutions or as collaborators, experts, employees, therefore paid, or as volunteers, free of charge.
