Taide, kieli ja kotoutuminen : keskusteleva kuvan tarkastelu aikuisten maahanmuuttajien kielenoppimisen tukena

Tutkielmassa tarkastelen Visual Thinking Strategies -menetelmän soveltamista maahan muuttaneiden kielenopetukseen. VTS eli keskusteleva kuvan tarkastelu on yksinkertainen, keskusteluun perustuva taiteen tarkastelun menetelmä, jossa edetään osallistujien lähtökohdista, esitetään avoimia kysymyksiä ja sanallistetaan näköhavaintoja. Toisen kielen eli enemmistön äidinkielen oppimista pidetään yhtenä onnistuneen kotoutumisen edellytyksistä.
