The genus Alnus (Betulaceae) comprises many species with a long history in traditional medicines. The crude extracts and isolated compounds from Alnus species exhibit a wide spectrum of in vitro and in vivo pharmacological activities (1). Phytochemical investigations revealed the presence of diarylheptanoids, a class of natural products typically found in Alnus genus with two aryl groups joined by a heptane chain in the main skeleton that have drawn attention due to their multiple biological properties and their therapeutic potential (2). Lithuania is situated in a highly forested Northeastern Europe area and has a variety of wooden buildings. Among the wooden structures we enumerate the religious buildings, churches and bell towers, rich of historic values, presenting different forms and sizes, a complex design and stratified construction phases. The present work aims to study this interesting topic and intends not only to analyze the architectural typology but even more the technological and structural aspects, that had suggested the most influences on building techniques during the centuries.

Nell’immaginario architettonico collettivo, il bianco è il colore della tradizione mediterranea, dell’architettura classica, degli ideali neoclassici e del Moderno. Nonostante l’assenza, in molti casi, di un sostegno storicamente certo, l’attuale condizione del bianco in architettura si basa su un fondo tecnico e culturale molto ampio. Nella contemporaneità è possibile osservare la diffusione del suo impiego come minimo comune denominatore di una possibile cultura condivisa. Questa architettura bianca, tra memoria e contemporaneità, riflette valori antichi e propone nuovi significati.

Dopo un’accurata ricerca bibliografica sui fluidi magnetoreologici, il loro comportamento ed impiego, si è passati alla progettazione di una frizione magnetoreologica per autoveicoli. Considerando le caratteristiche di coppia trasmessa e potenza, il dispositivo è stato dimensionato tenendo presente i vincoli di ingombro del veicolo preso in esame.
