Electrochemical abatement of chloroethanes in water: Reduction, oxidation and combined processes

An electrochemical route, based on the anodic oxidation to carbon dioxide coupled with the cathodic reduction to de-halogenated hydrocarbons, was proposed for the treatment of waters contaminated by chloroethanes. The electrochemical abatement of two model compounds, namely 1,2-dichloroethane and 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane, was carried out by cathodic reduction at silver, anodic oxidation at boron doped diamond (BDD) and combined processes. Surprisingly few studies have evaluated the clinical success of such interventions. Modeling temporal treatment effects with zero inflated semi-parametric regression models: The case of local development policies in France

Effectiveness of sodium acetate treatment on the mechanical properties and morphology of natural fiber-reinforced composites

This paper aims to investigate the ability of an eco-friendly and cheap treatment based on sodium acetate solutions to improve the mechanical properties of flax fiber-reinforced composites. Flax fibers were treated for 5 days (i.e., 120 h) at 25 °C with mildly alkaline solutions at 5%, 10% and 20% weight content of the sodium salt.
