Urethrocutaneus fistulas are the most common complication of surgery for hypospadias. In five patients, fistulas of this type were repaired with patches of tunica vaginalis to prevent fistula recurrence. Our experience and that of others suggest that tunica vaginalis autografts can be used for treatment of a variety of urethral problems in children.

The tunic is a multifunctional tissue that provides support, mechanical rigidity, and protection against infection and predation. INTRODUCTION: We decided to conduct a study to investigate the presence of cytokines in the albuginea of subjects with Peyronie's disease (PD). Cytokines, as responsible for intercellular communication, maybe involved in the pathogenesis of the disease. The identification of one or more involved cytokines may, in fact, be useful in the pharmacological treatment with biologic drugs that are able to interfere with specific cytokines.
