Ordinary Muon Capture on 136Ba : Comparative Study Using the Shell Model and pnQRPA

In this work, we present a study of ordinary muon capture (OMC) on 136136Ba, the daughter nucleus of 136136Xe double beta decay (DBD). The OMC rates at low-lying nuclear states (below 1 MeV of excitation energy) in 136136Cs are assessed by using both the interacting shell model (ISM) and proton–neutron quasiparticle random-phase approximation (pnQRPA). We also add chiral two-body (2BC) meson-exchange currents and use an exact Dirac wave function for the captured s-orbital muon. OMC can be viewed as a complementary probe of the wave functions in 136136Cs, the intermediate nucleus of the 136136Xe DBD. Interaction between candidates and constituents via social media is a well-studied domain. The article takes this research further through a synthesis with platform studies, emerging scholarship that applies a critical perspective to the role of digital platforms in society. Examination of candidate–constituent interaction via Twitter and Facebook during the 2015 Finnish parliamentary elections revealed that the types of interaction differ between the two platforms: Facebook was used for formal campaigning and for praising and expressing support, while Twitter was utilized for information and for seeking and sharing opinions. This paper explores the intercultural communication, cultural adjustment strategies and power relations between Finnish and Chinese representatives in the context of Chinese investment facilitation in Finland. The study is mostly based on interviews of individuals who work either for one of Finland’s state agencies tasked with attracting investment or local government. When analyzing aspects of power, the paper’s theoretical basis is the Positioning Theory of Harré (1991). This case study explores how two Hungarian children argue for their choices in a decision- making task in which they were asked to pick objects useful on a deserted island. The study involves an analysis of the multimodal data of the video-recorded tasks, carried out as pair-work, and sociometric background data that were collected in order to build an initial understanding of the participants’ social relations. Tiivistelmä – Abstract Tämän maisterintutkielman tavoitteena oli kuvata asiantuntijaorganisaatiossa työskentelevien henkilöiden käsityksiä ja kokemuksia työn ja yksityisen elämän välisestä rajankäynnistä. Rajankäynti on vuorovaikutusprosessi, jossa käsitykset ja kokemukset muodostuvat työyhteisön vuorovaikutuksessa pitäen sisällään myös jännitteitä. Tutkielmaa varten tehtiin viisitoista yksilöhaastattelua kahdessa asiantuntijaorganisaatiossa. Haastattelut toteutettiin puolistrukturoituina teemahaastatteluina ja aineiston analyysi tapahtui laadullisesti teemoitellen ja koodaten.
