Abstract. This study explored if the orientations towards instructing/coaching in physical activities (PA) and teaching physical education (PE) affect the perceived strengths in teaching PE at the primary level (PSTPEs). The orientations were considered as socializing factors into teaching PE. In this study, the perceived strengths were divided into discipline - and pupil - focused strengths. Aprender inglés utilizando una red social: Explorando el uso de la red Ning por parte de estudiantes de segunda lengua

Este artículo describe un estudio piloto llevado a cabo con estudiantes de Inglés 5 (nivel B+) en la Universidad de Valencia, la cual incorporó una red social para estudiar inglés fuera del horario lectivo. La herramienta seleccionada fue la web Ning, porque se centraba en el grupo y ofrecía toda una serie de herramientas interesantes – blogs, chats and foros de discusión – que tenían potencial para el aprendizaje del inglés. Evaluation of web reinforcements in prestressed concrete box girders through shear-transverse bending domains

In concrete box girders, the amount and distribution of reinforcements in the webs have to be estimated considering the local effects due to eccentric external loads and cross-sectional distortion and not only the global effect due to the resultant forces of a longitudinal analysis: shear, torsion and bending. This work presents an analytical model that allows designers to take into account the interaction of all these effects, global and local, for the determination of the reinforcements. The Dark Web (i.e., the anonymous web or Darknet) contains potentially harmful COVID-19-related information and content such as conspiracy theories and forged certificates. The Dark Web may particularly attract individuals who are suspicious about the pandemic, but there is no research concerning the use of the Dark Web as a COVID-19 information source.
