A procedure for supporting silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on nylon is proposed. Besides, the membrane has been developed as a solid-phase colorimetric plasmonic sensor for volatile sulfide compounds (VSCs) like H2S, CH3SH, and (CH3)2S. Electrochemical analysis of the first Polish coins using voltammetry of immobilized particles

[EN] A series of 20 denarii from Boleslaus the Brave (992-1025) and Mieszko II Lambert (1025-1034), corresponding to the beginning of the Polish state were studied using the voltammetry of immobilized particles (VIMP) methodology. VIMP experiments, applied to nanosamples of the corrosion layers of the coins in contact with aqueous acetate buffer, provided well-defined responses mainly corresponding to the corrosion products of copper and lead. Real-time High Dynamic Range based on Multiple Non Destructive ReadOut during a Single Exposure

This paper presents a new method based on Non Destructive Readout (NDRO) to improve multi-exposure High Dynamic Range (HDR) Imaging. A sequence of Low-Dynamic Range (LDR) images can then be acquired during a single exposure. The concept enables the latency between LDR images to be removed as well as the intrinsic ghost artifacts observed using state-of-art HDR systems based on multi-exposures. The method has been applied to improve the performances of HDR sensor based on logarithmic pixels. Using the NDRO method, a Short Wave InfraRed (SWIR) camera has been designed to produce HDR IR videos. A real-time HDR video stream generation is achieved based on GPU implantation.

In this study, the severity of canine skin erythema was assessed objectively for the first time. Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common canine inflammatory and pruritic skin disease associated with an allergic reaction to exogenous allergens. The monitoring of skin erythema over time with lesion severity scales like the CADESI-4 is an essential diagnostic and research tool, especially for clinical trials. Background: Micellar LC was first proposed as a ‘green’ mode using mobile phases of water and surfactant. However, in most procedures a small amount of organic solvent is required to decrease the retention to convenient values. Results & methodology: Mixed micellar mobile phases prepared with both cationic (sodium dodecyl sulphate) and nonionic surfactant (Brij-35) modulate the retention of high to moderately polar basic drugs to practical times, eliminating the need of organic solvent. Abstract In this study rare earth elements (REE) signatures (REE ratios, cerium and europium anomalies) are applied to a complex soil stratigraphic sequence from the site of Konso, Ethiopia, with the aim of determining whether REE can distinguish the strata observed in the field. A solid–liquid extraction method in combination with high‐performance liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry was developed and optimized for extraction and analysis of organophosphorus flame retardants in soil and fish. Methanol was chosen as the optimum extraction solvent, not only in terms of extraction efficiency, but also for its broader analyte coverage. The subsequent clean‐up by solid‐phase extraction is required to eliminate matrix coextractives and reduce matrix effects. Recoveries of the optimized method were 50–121% for soil and 47–123% for biota, both with high precision (RSDs <12% in soil and <23% in biota).
