Masīvas dubultzvaigžņu sistēmas HD50975 augstas izšķirtspējas spektroskopija

Šajā darbā mēs veicam dubultzvaigžņu sistēmas HD50975, kura sastāv no divām masīvām komponentēm, analīzi, izmantojot augstas izšķirtspējas absorbcijas spektrus, kas iegūti viļņu garumu diapazonā no 3200 līdz 9800 Å. Mēs identificējam dažādiem ķīmiskiem elementiem atbilstošās absorbcijas līnijas un, izmantojot atmosfēru modeļu metodi, aprēķinām dzelzs grupas elementu un eiropija koncentrācijas zvaigznes atmosfērā ar mērķi precizēt tās ķīmisko sastāvu. Papildus tam darbā tiek iegūtas un salīdzinātas divos dažādos neitronu satveršanas procesos sintezēto elementu koncentrācijas zvaigznes atmosfērā ar mērķi precizēt neitronu satveršanas procesa elementu izcelsmes mehānismu.

Stepmothers’ constructions and negotiations of belonging

Applying a narrative approach and symbolic interactionist frame of reference, this study examines how Finnish stepmothers in their written narratives construct and negotiate their belonging. Belonging is a relevant concept in this study since it focuses on social interaction and intersubjectivity, and their emotional content. Three types of belonging were identified: (a) restricted belonging, (b) dyadic stepmother–stepchild belonging and (c) the spousal relationship as a focal dyad of belonging. Italica (Seville, Spain): use of local marble in Augustan age

This study concerns 51 marble finds made of “Cipollino verde” coming from the ancient city of Italica (north of the modern city of Santiponce, 9 km NW of Seville, Spain), the earliest Roman settlement in Spain, founded in 206 B.C. The aim of this work was to determine their provenance from Greek and Italian quarries or from local quarries worked in the Iberian Peninsula. Thin-section optical microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, bulk rock chemistry and O, C and Sr stable isotope analyses were carried out. Three three-letter words in three recent novels in three different languages: God, sex and joy

In this article, the authors propose to analyse the ways in which religion and sexuality are related to one another in three recent novels: (1) Fransi Phillips�s Die donker god (2007), (2) Inga �olude�s Santa Biblia (2013) and (3) Michel Houellebecq�s Soumission [English translation: Submission] (2015). In each case, the novels are briefly placed within their respective literary cultures (Afrikaans, Latvian and French) in order to offer a contextually sensitive analysis.
