Cryopreservation by droplet vitrification was applied to hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.). axillary buds of the Italian cultivated variety Tonda Gentile Romana, which were collected from in vitro growing shoots, immersed in ice cooled PVS2 or PVS3 for 60 or 90 min, then transferred to a droplet of vitrification solution, placed on a strip of aluminium foil, and plunged into liquid nitrogen (LN). Additionally, the effect on the recovery of the mother plant after cryopreservation was evaluated, following a cold pre-treatment at 4 °C for 3 months. Foot-strike and the associated load rate are factors related to overuse injuries in runners. The purpose of this study was to analyse structural and functional changes in runners using floating heel running shoes, compared with runners using conventional footwear. A randomised control trial was conducted. Twenty runners with overuse injuries were followed over a 12-week gait retraining programme using floating heel running shoes or their conventional footwear. Co-crystals of an agrochemical active – A pyridine-amine synthon for a thioamide group

Five novel co-crystals of thiophanate-ethyl (TE), an agrochemical active, with di(2-pyridyl)ketone (1), 2-benzoylpyridine (2), 3-benzoylpyridine (3), 4-phenylpyridine (4) and biphenyl (5) were found and crystal structures of four of them (TE1–TE3, TE5) solved by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Three of the co-crystals (TE1–TE3) form by way of a reliable pyridine-amine hydrogen bond synthon and one (TE5) because of close packing effects.
