Architettura dello sguardo.Tre progetti di case più uno

2012

Letteratura e letterarietà in Jacques Lacan

2017

This monographic section of the journal "La Psicoanalisi" intends to examine the relationship between Jacques Lacan, literature and literary criticism. The studies collected here also focus on "literacy", which characterizes Lacan's thought not only as attention to style, but also as a relationship …

Monitoring soil organic carbon variations in organic farming by proximal sensing

2014

It has been widely It has been widely recognized the crucial role of soil monitoring in assessing the effectiveness of the soil measures and agro-environment schemes passed by Regional and local administration in complying the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy to soil protection. The costs of soil monitoring however are substantial and the reliability of the results often questionable. A reason is that the monitoring activity commonly consists of a network of sampling points which are then spatialized through different inference models. This methodology does not often enable a reliable estimation at the fi eld scale, that is the scale where the measures are foreseen and fi nanced. The organic…

Host-guest complexes of C-propyl-2-bromoresorcinarene with aromatic N-oxides*

2018

The host-guest complexes of C-propyl-2-bromoresorcinarene with pyridine N-oxide, 3-methylpyridine N-oxide, quinoline N-oxide and isoquinoline N-oxide are studied using single crystal X-ray crystallography and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The C-propyl-2-bromoresorcinarene forms endo-complexes with the aromatic N-oxides in the solid-state when crystallised from either methanol or acetone. In solution, the endo-complexes were observed only in methanol-d4. In DMSO the solvent itself is a good guest, and crystallisation provides only solvate endo-complexes. The C-propyl-2-bromoresorcinarene shows remarkable flexibility when crystallised from either methanol or acetone, and packs into one-dimensional sel…

Characterization of spatial porosity and mineral distribution of crystalline rock using X-ray micro computed tomography, C-14-PMMA autoradiography an…

2019

The spatial porosity and mineral distribution of geological materials strongly affects transport processes in them. X-ray micro computed tomography (X-mu CT) has proven to be a powerful tool for characterizing the spatial mineral distribution of geological samples in 3-D. However, limitations in resolution prevent an accurate characterization of pore space especially for tight crystalline rock samples and 2-D methods such as C-14-polymethylmethacrylate (C-14-PMMA) autoradiography and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) are needed. The spatial porosity and mineral distributions of tight crystalline rock samples from Aspo, Sweden, and Olkiluoto, Finland, were studied here. The X-mu CT were use…

Ariosto Redivivus: A Year of Centenary Celebrations and Critical Reassessment

2018

First published in 1516 by Giovanni Mazocco del Bondeno in Ferrara, Ludovico Ariosto’s masterpiece, the Orlando furioso, celebrated its quincentenary in 2016. The article reports on the various events that took place on the occasion, highlighting their scholarly relevance and suggesting new critical developments.

Introduction.

2019

In geography, the notion of scale has been discussed within diverse theoretical frameworks. The concept of geographical scale indicates socio-spatial organization within a bounded geographical area – usually labelled as size (such as province or continent) or level (such as global, national, regional, local, and even household). Besides these ‘technical’ definitions, recent research also includes more nuanced elaborations. The introductory chapter discusses four conceptualizations for understanding and utilizing the concept of scale that are critical in underscoring the power relations in heritage. These conceptualizations – scale as a hierarchy, scale as an instrument of power, scale as a …

Elementi e frammenti sul senso dell’abitare

2020
