Caratteri maiuscoli e minuscoli costituiscono in tutte le lingue un inventario parallelo di grafemi cui si ricorre per la realizzazione grafica dei fonemi, e la cui differenziazione funzionale si è sviluppata nel corso dei secoli. Oggi la grafia non marcata è costituita nella generalità dei casi dal carattere minuscolo, avendo specularmente assunto il maiuscolo funzioni aggiuntive. IS THERE A CONTINENTAL BIAS IN TRADE?

The relationship between geography and trade is a central topic in international economics. This paper investigates the potential existence of a continental bias in world trade flows on a sample of 182 countries over the period 1990-2006. Using traditional estimation techniques and recent developments in the econometric analysis of the gravity equation, we find robust evidence of an economically significant continental bias in trade. It implies that, other things equal, countries located on the same continent trade more with each other than countries located on different continents. Many-body Green's function theory for electron-phonon interactions: ground state properties of the Holstein dimer

We study ground-state properties of a two-site, two-electron Holstein model describing two molecules coupled indirectly via electron-phonon interaction by using both exact diagonalization and self-consistent diagrammatic many-body perturbation theory. The Hartree and self-consistent Born approximations used in the present work are studied at different levels of self-consistency. The governing equations are shown to exhibit multiple solutions when the electron-phonon interaction is sufficiently strong whereas at smaller interactions only a single solution is found. Objectives To assess if prolonging in utero-like oxygenation during the fetal-to-neonatal transition limits oxidative stress in the lung and brain, improving postnatal adaptation of mice pups. InAs crystals are emerging materials for various devices like radio frequency transistors and infrared sensors. Control of oxidation-induced changes is essential for decreasing amounts of the harmful InAs surface (or interface) defects because it is hard to avoid the energetically favored oxidation of InAs surface parts in device processing.
