Liikunnallisesti aktiivinen elämäntapa ylläpitää tehokkaasti ikääntyneiden terveyttä ja toimintakykyä. Background Little previous research has analysed the relationship between schools' indoor air problems and schools' social climate. In this study, we analysed a) whether observed mould and dampness in a school building relates to students' perceptions of school climate (i.e. teacher-student relationships and class spirit) and b) whether reported subjective indoor air quality (IAQ) at the school level mediates this relationship. Multinationals, R&D and productivity: Evidence for UK Manufacturing firms

In this study, we analyze multinationality (domestic-based firms versus multinationals) and foreignness (foreign versus domestic firms) effects in the returns of R&D to productivity. We follow a two-step strategy. In the first step, we consistently estimate firm's productivity by GMM and numerically compute the sample distribution of the R&D returns. In the second step, we use stochastic dominance techniques to make inferences on the multinationality and foreignness effects. Results for a panel of UK manufacturing firms suggest that multinationality and foreignness effects operate in an opposite way: whilst the multinationality effect enhances R&D returns, the foreignness diminishes them. : In this study, the soil effect on the micro-component composition of Nero d'Avola wines obtained from different locations was investigated through 1H NMR-based metabolomics. Two different approaches were applied: the targeted (TA) and the non-targeted one (NTA). The former differentiated the wines by profiling (i.e., by identifying and quantifying) a number of different metabolites. The latter provided wine fingerprinting by processing the entire spectra with multivariate statistical analysis. Tutkimuksessa selvitetään, kuinka paljon suullisia tehtäviä on yhteensä ja painotetaanko oppikirjassa kvantitatiivisesti enemmän suullisia vai kirjallisia tehtäviä. Tutkimme myös, toteutuvatko uudessa opetussuunnitelmassa suulliselle kielitaidolle asetetut tavoitteet oppikirjan suullisissa tehtävissä. The early changes in trunk muscle strength and disability following lumbar spine fusion

To analyze trunk muscle function pre- and postoperatively in patients undergoing lumbar spine fusion. Associations between changes in trunk muscle strength and disability were also studied.A total of 114 patients undergoing lumbar spine fusion participated in the study. The flexion and extension strength of the trunk was measured preoperatively and 3 months after surgery using a strain-gauge dynamometer.
