OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to determine students' satisfaction with a 2-day course on scientific writing in health sciences and to assess their perceptions of the long-term impact on their knowledge, attitudes and skills. SETTING: 27 iterations of a 2-day course on writing and publishing scientific articles in health sciences. PARTICIPANTS: 741 students attending the 27 courses. DESIGN: Prospective longitudinal study. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY OUTCOME MEASURES: Immediately after each course, students completed a first questionnaire, rating their satisfaction with different aspects of the classroom sessions on a Likert scale (0-5). Pētījuma mērķis ir izzināt 2-3 gadus vecu bērnu labizjūtas attīstības sekmēšanas iespējas vizuālās mākslas nodarbībās. Kvalifikācijas darba pirmajā nodaļā autore ir teorētiski analizējusi labizjūtas būtību kā arī 2-3 gadus vecu bērnu labizjūtas attīstības galvenos priekšnoteikumus. Šajā nodaļā ir rakstturota un teorētiski pētīta vizuālās mākslas nodarbību nozīme bērnu labizjūtas veicināšanā. Comparison of British and French expatriate doctors’ characteristics and motivations

Objective The aim of this study was to analyse the migration of doctors between the UK and France, in an attempt to identify the reasons for these migrations. Design This was a cross-sectional study conducted using a self-completed questionnaire. Setting The questionnaire was sent to all British doctors practising in France and to all French doctors practising in the UK. Participants The doctors were identified, thanks to official data of the National Medical Councils. There were 244 French doctors practising in the UK and 86 British doctors practising in France.
