El artículo analiza las novelas por entregas de Wenceslao Ayguals de Izco (1801-1873) desde su dimensión melodramática para señalas de qué modo participaron en la creación de los imaginarios, las narrativas sociales y políticas y la "comunidad emocional" del radicalismo democrático español de mediados del siglo XIX. Posteriormente examino una serie de "fantasías nacionales" que se repiten con insistencia en estas novelas melodramáticas: la unión matrimonial como metáfora de la plenitud nacional, el mártir por la patria y el "ángel de salvación" que socorre a los desfavorecidos. International audience; This study opposes, on the one hand, the concept exposed by linguist and theoretician Charles Nodier (1780-1844) in his Elementary Notions in Linguistics (1834) referring to the inalterable spelling of proper nouns, and, on the other hand, his practice as a storyteller and creator in his Trilby (1822). Rationale and objectives Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) is a genetic condition that leads to an increased risk of emphysema and liver disease. Despite extensive investigation, there remain unanswered questions concerning the natural history, pathophysiology, genetics and the prognosis of the lung disease in association with AATD.
