Young University Students’ Academic Self-Regulation Profiles and Their Associated Procrastination: Autonomous Functioning Requires Self-Regulated Ope…
2020
Students' autonomous self-regulation requires not only self-motivation but also volition or transforming motivation into specific behavioral intentions and following through. Self-regulation includes self-motivation (i.e., goal setting, learning from mistakes) and volitional regulation (i.e., strategic decision making). Furthermore, individual differences, like trait-level perseverance, significantly influence both motivation and volition. Procrastination has been defined as a volitional self-regulation problem, which involves delaying what one had intended to do, in spite of being motivated, and regardless of anticipating adverse consequences. Thus, it is a tendency toward dysregulated beh…
Analyzing Music Services Positioning Through Qualitative Research
2015
Information technologies have produced new ways of distributing and consuming music, mainly by youth, in relation to both goods and services. In the case of goods, there has been a dramatic shift from traditional ways of buying and listening to music to new digital platforms. There has also been an evolution in relation to music services. In this sense, live music concerts have been losing their audiences over the past few years, as have music radio stations, in favor of streaming platforms. Curious about this phenomenon, we conducted an exploratory research in order to analyze how all these services, both traditional and new ones were perceived. Specifically, we aimed to study youth´s asse…
La violenza sessuale di genere
2021
The article reconstructs the framework of criminal legislation on the protection of women, within the framework of the broadest gender protection, which in Italy has now reached a very advanced level. However, there is a lack of a norm on sexual harassment and it is emphasized that the application practice is not always consistent. In this regard, precisely from the point of view of the jurist and criminal lawyer, it is concluded that the laws are not enough, but a profound cultural change is needed.
Part-time fittizio e sfruttamento lavorativo
2022
Con la sentenza Cass. Sez.
Genomic diversity and population structure analysis reveal few genetic differences among Ethiopian indigenous sheep populations
2017
African sheep, like other domestic sheep, are domesticated from the Asiatic mouflon (Ovis orientalis). They entered the continent through the North and the Horn of Africa regions following maritime and terrestrial trading routes. Ethiopia is one of the main entry points of various plant and animal domesticates into Africa. It is characterised by diverse agro-ecologies, ancient human ethnic diversity and the presence of indigenous sheep breeds/populations of unprecedented morphological diversity (e.g. tail types). Here, we investigate the genome diversity and population structure of 146 unrelated animals from 11 Ethiopian indigenous sheep populations. DNA was extracted from ear tissue punche…

Chromosomal assignment of the ovine hairless (hr) gene by fluorescence in situ hybridization.
2008
Congenital hypotrichosis in mammalian species consists of partial or complete absence of a hair coat at birth. Affected individuals having a partial hair coat at birth may loose it subsequently. The aim of this paper was to physically map the ovine hr gene using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).A preliminary study on an internet data bank (http://www.informatics.jax.org) showed that the regions of the hr gene on murine chromosome 14 and human chromosome 8 present homology with ovine chromosome 2.
β-lactoglobulin gene promoter: new SNPs in sheep and goat
2008
β-lactoglobulin (β-lg) is the major whey protein in milk of ruminants and several non ruminant species, but it is lacking in rodents, lagomorphs and human. The aim of this work was sequencing the promoter region of β-lg gene in Sicilian sheep and goat dairy breeds, in order to identify polymorphisms. In these species, the promoter region was aligned using the sequences available on database. A common set of primers was designed to amplify and sequence a fragment of approximately 2.1 kb. Within this region, 12 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified in goat breeds: 7 out of them were not yet reported in literature. Moreover, in sheep breeds 15 SNPs were newly identified. Using…
