The evaluation of changes in maxillofacial bones using cone beam tomography in acromegaly

BACKGROUND: The aim of the study was to evaluate the changes in craniofacial dimensions of newly diagnosed and untreated acromegaly patients, patients with non-functional pituitary adenoma and healthy individuals on Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). MATERIAL AND METHODS: 50 newly diagnosed acromegaly patients who did not receive any treatment for acromegaly were included in the study (Group A). Twenty patients with nonfunctional pituitary adenoma (Group B) and 30 healthy individuals were included (Group C). Linear, angular and volumetric measurements were performed. Three artists in exile focuses on the historical diaspora provoked by the Spanish civil war (1936- 1939), and how it influenced three prominent figures of the cultural scene of that period: the writer and typographer Max Aub Mohrenwitz (Paris, 1903-Ciudad de Mexico, 1972); the architect Félix Candela Outeriño (Madrid, 1910-Raleigh, US, 1977); and the artist Josep Renau Berenguer (Valencia, 1907-Berlín, 1982). Tras más de nueve años como alcalde de Valencia (1979-1988) la prensa local recogía en portada la dimisión de Ricard Pérez Casado como alcalde de Valencia, al que acompañaba su número dos, Fernando Puente Roig.
