The first research question is about how three different textbooks for grade 10 presents the Pythagorean theorem through different representations. These representations are geometric, algebraic and textual. The textbooks are Tetra, Faktor and Maximum. The precision of individual representations and the precision between representations is studied. The chronology in the presentation of the representations has also been studied. Folkehelseinstituttet (2016) konkluderer med at 15 til 20 prosent av alle norske ungdommer til enhver tid har nedsatt funksjon grunnet psykiske vansker. Samtidig viser Bakken (2016) til at ni prosent av guttene og 26 prosent av jentene fra 10. klassetrinn til Vg3 har høyt nivå av depressive symptomer. Det er i denne forbindelse verdt å merke seg at Raknes med flere (2017) finner at ungdom oftere har dårligere livskvalitet på skolen enn det de har hjemme. Abstract Study aim: While there is wide debate around specialization in one sport, there is a lack of information about fitness levels and motor competence of children participating in single or multiple sports. Material and methods: The study involved 358 fifth-grade children who participated in a set of health-related fitness and motor competence tests over two consecutive years. A subsample of children (n = 109) wore an accelerometer for seven consecutive days. Abstract Purpose Measurement of medial gastrocnemius (MG) tendon length using ultrasonography (US) requires the muscle–tendon junction (MTJ) to be located. Previously, the MG MTJ has been tracked from different proximo-distal locations near the MTJ, which could influence estimates of tendon length change due to the different characteristics of the aponeurosis and tendon. We used US to evaluate the effect of tracking point location on MG MTJ displacement during maximal and submaximal (10, 20 and 30% of the non-injured maximal) isometric plantar flexion contractions.
