Implementing an embedded system to identify possible COVID-19 suspects using thermovision cameras

The main goal of this paper is to prove that by combining thermal vision cameras and image processing with many deep learning classification algorithms we developed an effective embedded system with high applicability in this critical period caused by COVID-19 pandemic disease. Using fixed and mobile thermal cameras we envisioned and developed a real time temperature screening capable of sending alarm signals over network or by SMS to local authorities along with multiple detection metrics such as the age, the gender, the facial emotion, the GPS location where the alarm went off, the temperature reading from the human face and also if the subject is wearing or not a medical face mask.

Physical activity (PA) decreases during hospitalization. In particular, the amount of PA engaged in by older people who are hospitalized following musculoskeletal injury is likely to be limited for months after discharge home. New faunal and floral records from Ocean Drilling Project Hole 963A, resolved at ?80-year spacing, provide evidence of suborbital scale climate variability in the central Mediterranean Sea throughout Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 5. Cold events in the central Mediterranean Sea, indicated by low abundances of warm species and high abundances of cold species, are also evident in a planktonic foraminifera paleoclimatic curve. Absence of structure in the $^{20,22}$Ne + $^{118}$Sn quasi-elastic barrier distribution

Abstract Motivated by the extreme deformation parameters of the projectile, we have measured quasi-elastic scattering for 20 Ne + 118 Sn. In contrast to calculations based on known collective states, the experimental barrier distribution is structureless. A comparison with the system 22 Ne + 118 Sn shows that this smoothing is unlikely to be due to nucleon- or α -transfer channels, and is more likely to be due to coupling to many other weak channels.

Background Neonatal units’ volume of activity, and other quantitative and qualitative variables, such as staffing, workload, work environment, care organization and geographical location, may influence the outcome of high risk newborns. Data about the distribution of these variables and their relationships among Italian neonatal units are lacking. This article edits, translates, comments and examines several aspects related with two strophic poems in Andalusian Arabic dialect. They are written in a miscellaneous volume recently found in Cútar (Málaga). Their contents speak about the hard moments lived during the last times of Muslim political power in the Iberian Peninsula. Mention is made to the copyist and the possible author of the poems.

The Morisco Jesuit P. Ignacio de Las Casas collaborated in the translation of some of the lead books found in Granada at the end of the 16th century. At first he was a partisan of their authenticity, but he rapidly became convinced that they were false. There followed a fierce struggle to make the Church prevent their publication. In the article his activity as a translator of these texts is reviewed, together with the arguments, which he used in order to criticise the doctrine contained in the lead books. In 1492, a fatal robbery was committed in a small village in the Kingdom of Valencia. This article analyses the statements of the witnesses to a confession of this crime that were recorded in an Arabic document. The document provides evidence for the application of sharī'a law among Muslims in a territory that was no longer part of an Islamic state - in this case, the meting out of punishments for blood crimes. The survival of the document as part of the case file of the Christian court that adjudicated the case shows that the Valencian justice system considered valid documents produced by a Muslim judge, by a court clerk or by a notary.
